A brief overview of the recent developments in Afghanistan:
- On December 20, at least 9 people were killed and 6 others were wounded in a car bomb explosion in PD5 of Kabul;
- On December 20, an Afghan National Police officer was killed and two others were wounded by an IED blast in Jalalabad city;
- On December 19, an IED explosion took place in Qandahar. No casualties were reported;
- On December 19, ISIS took responsibility for the rocket attack on the US-operated Bagram Airbase;
- On December 19, clashes between Taliban and Afghan forces were reported near Sheberghan;
- On December 19, clashes between Taliban and Afghan forces were reported in Sare Pol.
