- At least 129 Taliban members were killed and 68 others were wounded in clashes in Nangarhar, Ghazni, Wardak, Zabul, Faryab, Badakhshan, Kunduz, Badghis, Uruzgan, Kandahar and Helmand in the past 24 hours, according to the Afghan Ministry of Defense;
- On January 19, a motorcycle-bomb targeted a police vehicle in Trinkot city injuring 10 people;
- On January 19, at least 3 soldiers were killed and 2 others went missing as a result of the Taliban attack on their post in Kashrod district;
- On January 20, ISIS claimed responsibility for the bomb attack that targeted a vehicle of government forces in Kabul. 2 people were killed.
