6 people were killed in a roadside bomb explosion in the Dand district, Kandahar province; - Kabul released at least 170 Taliban members from the Pul-e-Charkhi jail in the framework of the ongoing peace efforts;
- 17 pro-government fighters were killed and 2 vehicles were desroyed in a Taliban attack in the Rabati Sangi district, Herat province;
- The Taliban claimed that its members had downed a helicotper in the Shahr-e-Safa district, Zabul province.
