New Airstrike Targets Popular Mobilization Units' Base In Western Iraq

A military camp of the Iraqi Popular Mobilization Units (PMU) in the western province of al-Anbar was targeted early on September 22 by a unknown warplane, according to the RT TV.

“An unknown warplane bombed early on Sunday the al-Mursanat Airport’s camp in the province of al-Anbar … The strike came a day after the end of Victory Will Operation, which the PMU took part in,” a source in the PMU told the Russian TV.

The source told the RT that the camp is being run by the PMU’s 13th Brigade, commonly known as the al-Tufuf Brigade.

The PMU has not released an official statement on the attack, so far. However, Qasim Musleh, the commander of PMU operations in al-Anbar confirmed that al-Mursanat Airport’s camp was struck by an unknown warplane.

A source affiliated with Saudi Arabia and the UAE reported that the airstrike was carried out by an unmanned combat aerial vehicle (UCAV).

The PMU had held Israel and the U.S. responsible for previous airstrikes on its positions and personnel. Nevertheless, some observers are now suggesting that the al-Mursanat Airport’s camp strike may have been conducted by Saudi Arabia in response to the September 14 Abqaiq–Khurais attack.

It is time to target some western occupation camps in UAE and Saudi Arabia with unknown drones via Yemen.

Jens Holm

It only will escalate everything. An eye for and eye could be Bandar Abas facilities down to the ground orkilling all electricity in Iran.

Hisham Saber

idiots. all their doing is making the PM.U’s more and more determined to annihilate Israel/U.S. forces. and side more closer with Iran.

Real Anti-Racist Action

No sense in having a military if you wont have anti-air defense. Time to either build your own from captured terrorist inventories, or buy some on the international black market. Or get Iran or someone else to provide you with some.

Jens Holm

Thats right. But we also see how difficult it is to make that kind of safety.

PMU are saying it’s fake news – IWN on Twitter: “PMU rejected the news of any airstrike to west of Anbar. PMU said that last night a blast was heard in Marsanat area; So, the security team dispatched to the area found out it wasn’t an airstrike. Any airstrike or blast in Tharthar area was rejected as well.”

RichardD

RT doesn’t usually get caught running fake news. Do you have a link?

Jens Holm

I agree. Too many take the first option in their minds.
