New Armenian Government Is Distancing Itself From Pro-Russia Military Bloc

FILE IMAGE

The government of Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan is steadily distancing itself from the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO), a Russia-led military bloc operating in the region.

It’s important to note that this development is taking place amid the recent escalation in the contested Nagorno-Karabakh region. Azerbaijani forces have increased their activity including shelling of Armenian positions in the area using the current complicated political situation inside Armenia and a series of diplomatic problems faced by the Pashinyan government. In turn, Armenia has not even requested a CSTO assistance in this situation as it’s admitted by the Armenian Foriegn Minister.

Pashinyan, who gained power in Armenia thanks to the complicated politcal and social situation there, has always been a representative of pro-Western powers. Thus, his government and a foreign policy of his government are heavily impacted by Western “advisers”. For example, on July 27, Armenian authorities temporarily detained Colonel General Yuri Khachaturov, CSTO secretary general and former Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Armenia. He was detained in connection with casualties during 2008 protests in the country, but later released.

This move was reportedly promoted by Arsen Haratian, then an foreign policy adviser of Pashinyan. It’s interesting to note that Haratian is deeply linked to the US-led bloc. His wife is working in a US embassy in Georgia. At the same time, a key adviser of the Armenian Prime Minister is Arsen Gasparyan, who is a US citizen.

Thus, under a “soft pressure” from the US, the current Armenian government is forced to decrease its cooperation with the CSTO thus losing an opportunity to receive support from CSTO member states in case of a large-scale military escalation in the Nagorno Karabakh region.

This govt will pass and a new one will be elected.

BL

Are the Jews setting the Armenians up for another genocide? Russia must protect Armenia regardless of what treasonous CIA puppet government they have in charge.

Spit

America is about to deploy a new ABM system 2020-2021 Im not an Expert, but If I was America I would place this New Anti Balistic weapon System Into Russias backyard. Russia Needs to take this Very Seriously, This has a Massive potential to blow up in Russia’s face. This needs to be taken Very Seriously. This can quickly turn Syria into a total loss as Russian Bombers will lose the ability to bring Bombs into Syria, cut Iran resources from China and Ultimatly… become a catastrophe for Russia.

You can call me Al

Why ?, it send in 12 secret service troops and blow the POS up.

Brother Ma

So the Allies were able to easily send in commandos and blow up German rockets in Peenemunde in WWII. I dont think so.

You can call me Al

I was talking about the Russian secret service.

Ricky Miller

Please. Most of these ABM’s are never going to catch up to Russia’s new ICBM’s which take off and Sprint along on a far faster velocity than the ICBM’s of old. And any ABM’s who happen to luckily get close can be targeted by the soon arriving S500’s. There are reasons to be concerned about Armenia’s change in path, most importantly a change in government not resulting from election but from street insurrection instead, which is a new habit of maneuver for Western NWO goons and should always be regarded with suspicion.

You can call me Al

Whilst I agree with you 100%, if I was Russian or Putin; my head would be down for an hour and then I would forget it and not give a shit. I dont think this is a big loss apart from the honour and keeping the word etc; which Putin may be affected by. For me – Fuck them.

Brother Ma

I agree! Present gov is too starry-eyed about zionato countries!

Sinbad2

No Russia must protect Russia. The Armenians can do what they want. Russia is happy for the US to burn money arranging coups and wars, the more they spend, the quicker their end.

BL

You clearly didn’t get the point of my comment. Russia would be protecting itself by protecting Armenia.

Spit

The Americans want to put antiaircraft weapons in between Iran and Russia. The Americans want to skirt Cruise Missile agreements and take a piss into the Caspian sea. Russia needs to hold this Terretory until 2022 and than REFUSE to sign the weapons Treaty. 2020 Place what Ever You Want whereever You Want and Litarally Piss on every Single American outpost, Dick Waving Left and Right. DO NOT sign that treaty and America will fall Apart.

Armenia has always been European, and all Armenians have Europe in their heart. We in Armenia are tired of cabbage and walk around in wellies. We require to return to our ancient roots of Europe. We require Visafree Europe, cheeseburgers, Nike shoes and usury loans as Ukraine have got…………..and NATO. Armenians are also Europeans!

SEAN THOMAS

Is Armenia willing to give up Nagorno Karabakh for better relations with NATO? If so, why doesn’t the rest of the population just pack up, move, and leave what’s left of Armenia to the Turks?

Smaug

Oh, so Armenia’s problem’s with Russia is solely due to the near non-existent NATO influence? You’re better than that, South Front. Armenia has a complicated relationship with everyone except each other, they’re allied to Russia and Georgia. These two primary allies are mortal enemies that are allied to Armenia because they both have old beefs with Azerbaijan, but the Armenians will admit they don’t have many options. NATO is primarily concerned with their own beef with Russia, but has much sympathy for the Armenian cause over the Turks and Azeris. This is why even though the Baku to Turkey gas pipeline deliberately sidesteps both Russia and it’s allies, there are efforts to secure borders in Armenia’s favor. Ultimately, the Armenians will determine their own fate.

iosongasingsing

The Armenians like the Ukrainians who determine their destiny? Does NATO not care about Armenia as it does not affect Syria or Libya? Look at Sion of the Kol Nidrei, your lie is simply ridiculous.

Smaug

I’m not sure what you mean, so I’ll give you the benefit of the doubt. Get a map out and see why NATO could hardly send Armenia direct military assistance (although Israel did sell them some Spike missiles), there’s only one narrow route possible and that’s through Georgia and passes danger close to Abkhasia and South Ossetia. Like I said, though, westerners sympathize with Armenia over Azerbaijan (there’s a moderate sized Armenian diaspora in the US/UK), but look at the news and you’ll see that most of us are occupied with larger problems and/or problems close to home. If you want a good example of these geopolitical problems look up the Dunsterforce.

putinbeater

you are woeful

Smaug

You’re not being very helpful, I summed up the situation neatly aside that I should mention that Russia has some troops in Armenia proper. Am I missing something?

Brother Ma

Americans could not care less for Armenians! Russians have traditionally cared for Armenians. Who says thay Russia and Georgians are mortal enemies? Since when ? 1990? pffft!!

Smaug

Russia invaded Georgia in 2008 and is currently the sole backer of two former Georgian provinces that are apart of Russia the same way the Donbas is. And I reiterate; most American have never heard of Armenia.

Raptar Driver

Putin’s failed foreign policy and perceived weakness is causing Russia’s long time allies to abandon it, another one bites the dust.

You can call me Al

Are you a retard ?.

Raptar Driver

Is your mother?

Raptar Driver

More Putin worshipers, you are the tards loving him so much he is above criticism for you, get a life dip shits.

You can call me Al

She is actually.

Raptar Driver

Very funny.

Sinbad2

Why do Americans have this obsession about having intercourse with their mothers? We used to call Americans goddams, because every sentence was started with goddam mutha fkr. It’s really gross to show such disrespect towards your mother.

Raptar Driver

Because America is a feminized culture with goddess worship at the center.

Raptar Driver

I am going to start a business targeting Putin worshipers, making crucifixes but instead of Jesus on the cross I will put the image of Putin. Now you all can pray to god Putin to save you.

You can call me Al

Hahahaha, that was very funny for a totally retarded twat. Get off the computer Yank troll and fuck off back to CNN,

putinbeater

under utins pucture the realname: ALLAH

Raptar Driver

Limey Putin lover, should I send you one of my crucifixes?

Sinbad2

Never go full retard.

Raptar Driver

Only partial like you?

Sinbad2

The Americans spend a lot of time and money installing minions in most of the worlds countries. Getting Pinochet ,Shah types into power to persecute the locals and give a countries resources to America is an American tradition.

Brother Ma

Someone found this objectionable. I do not know who and do not care. The truth hurts some people.

“Yes you are right but since 2008 is a blink of an eye. Russia and Armenia like much of Eastern Europe have a shared religion and culture for almost two thousand years. Ukraine is also part of the Rus. Do you think i consider Ukraine diff from Russia because some Yank and/or Zionist declared it to be so. Hahaha. Brother Ma Brother Ma Smaug 3 days ago”

You can call me Al

Is that you comment that someone cried about ?, ie:

“Yes you are right but since 2008 is a blink of an eye. Russia and Armenia like much of Eastern Europe have a shared religion and culture for almost two thousand years. Ukraine is also part of the Rus. Do you think i consider Ukraine diff from Russia because some Yank and/or Zionist declared it to be so. Hahaha. Brother Ma Brother Ma Smaug 3 days ago”

Brother Ma

Yes Al. I made that comment.
