New Evidence Of Torture Of Russian POWs By Ukrainians Emerged

Illustrative Image

Several days ago, another video confirmed torture of Russian soldiers by Ukrainians was widely spread online. However, it was widely ignored by Ukrainian media and international MSM. Unidentified Ukrainians called mothers of two Russian prisoners of war (POW), threatening to kill their childs. Ukrainians demanded a large ransom for Russian soldiers. The Russian soldiers were tortured during the call.

On January 14, Russian High Commissioner for Human Rights Tatiana Moskalkova published video of Ukrainians torturing russian POWs. She got them from relatives of captured Russian servicemen Vladislav Kovalenko and Pyotr Krikunov.

Using anonymous accounts, Ukrainian inhumans showed to mothers tortures of their sons and threatened to kill the soldiers if they do not receive a ransom.

Another piece of evidence for the future Nazi tribunal! she commented on the issue.

The video showed the Russian soldier speaking to his relatives.

Women: Where are you?! Where should we send money?!

POW: I was captured. They will send you the address.

Women: Darling, how are you? Are you okay?

POW: Yes.

Ukrainian: We’ll kill him soon!

Women: Okay, we’ll send you money.

– How much money?

Ukrainian to the POW: Read how much money they have to send!

POW: $ 25,000

Women: How much in rubles?

POW: I don’t know.

Ukrainian: You have enough. Vlad said that you have this money.

Women: Okay, we’ll find .

Ukrainian to POW: Read the text f*** B**.

POW: My Darling… I love you .. Your Vlad

Ukrainian: Read louder!

POW: I love you…

Ukrainian: Read once again from the very beginning!

Women: Don’t touch him please. We’ll send you money.

POW: Darling, … if you want to save my life.. please send $25,000 to the number that they will send you. I hope you’ll do it fast because my fate will be decided in 24 hours. I also ask you to address to …

Ukrainian: Read louder ***. Listen better to him!

POW: … to service of soldiers’ mothers to ask for my speedy exchange.

Ukrainian: Read it once again to your wife!

The screenshot showing the second POW was shared by his relatives on the same day.

Russian High Commissioner for Human Rights has appealed to the UN and the ICRC with a demand to urge Kiev to comply with the Geneva Convention.

Ukrainian officials did not comment onthe authenticity of this recording, as admitting the torture of prisoners by the AFU would have had highly negative consequences for Zelensky, especially in view of the expected upcoming supplies of military equipment from NATO. The image of Ukraine being a victim of Russian aggression, carefully cultivated by Western propaganda, does not correlate at all with the reality and the brutal footage of murders commited by the Ukrainian military.

It is quite remarkable that the use of torture by Ukrainians is not an isolated case, but a systemic one. Since the beginning of the Ukrainian-Russian conflict, several such cases have already been confirmed became public.

In March 2022, the world was shocked by footage of torture of Russian servicemen captured in the Kharkiv region. The video showed members of a national battalion shooting tied soldiers in the legs and beating them. As it would later be revealed, the culprits are notable Kharkiv neo-Nazis, led by the head of the military administration, Konstantin Nemichev. LINK

In November 2022, in the village of Makeevka, more than 10 Russian soldiers who surrendered to Ukrainian forces were killed with shots to their heads. LINK

Despite statements by the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights and the Ukrainian prosecutor’s office investigating the incident, the accused have never been found and punished. Obviously, the Ukrainian authorities should not be expected to accept the facts of tortures.

Kiev’s dependence on Western aid is a key factor in its confrontation with Russia. Ukraine’s loss of Soledar and the grave situation near Bakhmut could turn into a disaster for the Zelensky regime if the U.S. and its allies decide to reduce military support to Ukraine under pressure from the European public. Therefore, any facts discrediting the activities of the AFU, related to corruption and even to torture, will be hushed up in every possible way.
