New Wave Of War Against ISIS In Nigeria’s Borno (Video)

On September 3, ISIS announced that its members had carried out two successful attacks in the northeastern Nigerian state of Borno.

In first attack, the group’s terrorists ambushed a convoy of the Nigerian Armed Forces between the towns of Cross and Milefour. The Amaq news agency claimed that ten soldiers were killed in the ambush. Four armored personnel carriers and a pick-up truck were also destroyed.

ISIS terrorists also captured two pick-up trucks, a drone and loads of weapons and ammunition, which were left behind by Nigerian troops.

The terrorist group’s second attack targeted the town of Magumeri. The terrorists occupied the town for several hours, during which they killed ten Nigerian soldiers.

During the attack on Magumeri, ISIS terrorists burned an army base, a battle tank, two armored vehicles, an armored personnel carrier, a bulldozer and three pick-up trucks. The terrorists also captured three pick-up trucks and loads of weapons and ammunition.

The Nigerian Armed Forces are constantly working to contain ISIS threat in Borno. In the last few days, the Air Task Force of Operation Lafiya Dole intensified its airstrikes on ISIS terrorists in the state. Scores of terrorists were killed and several hideouts were destroyed in the area of Kaza.

ISIS in Nigeria, formerly known as “Boko Haram,” intensified its attacks in Borno State, mainly in the area bordering Lake Chad, in the last few weeks.

Nigerian government forces are taking significant measures to confront the terrorist group’s threat. However, more efforts are apparently needed.

The government is not serious about ending this war.

It isn´t a matter of lack of intentions but lack of wealthy sponsor´s like Boko Haram, ISIS, Al Qaeda have in western countrys that give them all in nead to destabelize.
