The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) continue to face fierce resistance from Palestinian armed factions while attempting to expand its control in the Gaza Strip.
On February 15, the al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad -the second largest faction in Gaza after the ruling Hamas Movement-, released a video showing a mortar attack on Israeli troops in northern Gaza.
The group released another video on February 17 showing an attack with mortars and rockets on a large gathering of the IDF and a supply route to the north and northeast of the city of Khan Younis in the southern part of the Strip.
The al-Mujahideen Brigades, one of the smallest factions in Gaza, also released two videos on February 15 and 16. The first shows one of the group’s snipers attacking an Israeli soldier in western Khan Younis, while the second shows an attack with mortar and rockets on IDF gatherings in the city.
Meanwhile, the Abu Ali Mustafa Brigades, the military wing of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, released video footage showing one of its fighters attacking an Israeli Merkava main battle tank in Khan Younis with a rocket-propelled grenade.
The IDF took some losses as a result of recent Palestinian attacks. It announced the death of two service members on February 15 and 16, both from the Paratroopers Brigade.
Their death brought the number of Israeli troops killed since the start of ground operations in Gaza to 234. More than 1,300 others have been reportedly wounded. Some are still in a life-threatening condition.
Despite facing fierce resistance, the IDF is currently preparing to launch a large offensive in the southern Gaza area of Rafah near the border with Egypt. More than one million Palestinains are currently taking shelter there. Hamas has already warned Israel against such a move.

did they run out of tandem warheads for the rpg? i doubt normal ones will do more than damage the add on armour. those tanks have been too unpopular for too long time, to not have evolved to be able to handle those.
