Ramzan Kadyrov On Retreat From Krasny Liman. Every Mistake Has Its Name And Surname

Ramzan Kadyrov

On October 1, the head of Russia’s Republic of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, commented on the recent developments around Krasny Liman:

I have always said: there is nothing better than the truth, however bitter and hurtful it may be, but the truth. It’s the only way to move forward. That is why I cannot keep silent about what happened in Krasny Liman.

The commander of the Central Military District Colonel-General Alexander Lapin was in charge of defense of this area. The same Lapin, who received the star of Hero of Russia for the capture of Lisichansk, although de facto he wasn’t actually there. Lapin was also subordinated to the troops of the Western Military District.

The Colonel-General (the three-star general) deployed mobilized fighters from the LPR and other units at all the Liman direction, but did not provide them with the necessary communication, interaction and ammunition supply. Two weeks ago I was personally informed by Major-General Apty Alaudinov, commander of the “Akhmat” special forces, that our fighters might become easy targets. In turn, I informed Valery Gerasimov, head of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces, of the danger. But the general assured me that he did not doubt Lapin’s military talent and did not think that a retreat in Krasny Liman and its environs was possible.

A week later, Lapin moves his headquarters to Starobelsk, a hundred kilometers away from his subordinates, while he himself sits in Lugansk. How is it possible to promptly manage units 150 kilometers away? Because of the absence of elementary military logistics today, we have abandoned several settlements and a large area of territory.

It is not that Lapin is talentless that is a shame. It’s the fact that he is covered up by his superiors in the General Staff. If I had my way, I would have demoted Lapin to private, would have deprived him of his rewards and would have sent him to the front line to wash his shame in blood.

Army nepotism doesn’t do any good. The army must appoint commanders who are tough, courageous and principled, who care about their men, who fight for their soldiers and know that their subordinates must not be left without help and support. There is no place for nepotism in the army, especially in difficult times.

Didn’t we have enough Raisins? Even back then I said: fire at the enemy’s military accumulation in Izyum, captured by the fascists, especially since our artillery had such an opportunity at that time. At once we would finish off the main satanists and fascists. We have to carry out the SSO in the full sense of the word, not to flirt with it. Use every opportunity and every weapon to defend OUR territory. Donetsk is still being shelled. The residents of the 4 annexed territories want to be protected.

I do not know what the Defense Ministry reports to the Supreme Commander-in-Chief, but in my personal opinion, we need to take more drastic measures, up to declaring martial law in the border territories and using low-power nuclear weapons. There is no need to take every decision with the Western American community in mind – they have already said and done a lot against us.
Yesterday a parade in Izyum, today a flag in Liman, and tomorrow what?

Everything would be fine if it wasn’t so bad.

Ramzan Kadyrov On Retreat From Krasny Liman. Every Mistake Has Its Name And Surname

Yevgeny Prigozhin

Commentary by Yevgeny Prigozhin, head of Vagner PMC to Ramazan Kadyrov’s statement:

“Kadyrov’s expressive statement, of course, is not my style at all. But I can say: ‘Ramzan, a tough boy, burn! All these bastards should go to the front barefoot and with rifles.”

It should be noted that there are at least 3 people in the leadership of the Russian Ministry of Defense, who, by virtue of their positions, bear full personal responsibility for the events in the Kharkiv Region and around Krasny Liman. These are Colonel General Lapin, Chief of the General Staff Army General Valery Gerasimov, Minister of Defense Army General Sergei Shoigu.

UPDATE: A summary of comments about the situation from persons that had contacts with Colonel General Lapin:

All the conclusions of the emotional text of the head of Chechnya are based on incorrect information: General Lapin did not command the defense of this area and did not sit out in the rear.

It is wrong to blame the retreat in the Kharkov region on the general, who did not lead the defense of this sector. He was deployed there with a small part of his troops as reinforcements in the last attempt to correct the most difficult situation on the front.

Alexander Lapin has never remained in the rear only. Everyone who has ever encountered him can confirm this. In Syria or in Ukraine, where almost all the fighters of the “O” group know this. This is probably the only group commander who has been in the battle formations of his troops since the beginning of the operation. Therefore, the statement that Lapin sit in Lugansk is not true.

Of course, it is necessary to look for the guilty side. However, it is a gross mistake to blame for everything the commander, whose area of responsibility was a completely different sector of the front. In the end, this will not allow to draw right conclusions.

8 month of war, main infrastructure in west ukropistan still intact, arms supply routes still intact, 300.000 russian reservists comming 8 months too late and if these will also be leaded by the same idiots and morons like the russian troops right now in ukraine, even these reservists will not be able to stop the total russian army defeat. what a big shame for the paper tiger second strongest army in the world. 50 BTGs are still in russia and doing WHAT!?

hash

Vanya

Those BTGs are held in reserve for important parades and military exercises.

owkaka

They are held in reserve for war against NATO or anyone else. Russia has the longest borders in the world, you think they should send absolutely every soldier to ukraine and left the rest undefended?

Lesco Brandon

Based questions

medvedev should take over cremlin and kadyrov the russian general command. than the whole thing would be over before years end with liberation of whole donetsk and odessa.

lol

the whole area would be nuked, it would be a nuclear wasteland

Armored

There is no need for nukes… Just no electricity, telecommunications, railroad and every gas suplly station to be destroyed and that’s enough to bring Ukros to their knees. Simple as that.

Buford T Justice

Inexplicable , the way the Russians have conducted operations in Ukraine . You can’t win a war with kit gloves on . Could see this war coming eight years ago .If Russia loses it will be due mainly to piss poor leadership , Putin and his generals . .They should have had reserve / recruits prepared and ready to go long ago .

Void

Kadyrov has to answer to his people. Actual men.

Антон

Not Medvedev, he is a system liberal (i.e. pro-western element in authorities) and not respected by people, his anti-rating is higher than approval. When he was the prime minister, 15% accepted his actions and ~50% did not, according to the state statistic centers. That’s why he tries to play a tough guy now, using PR mechanisms, but he cannot be trusted.

Vanya

But even Medvedev was more effective in Georgia then Putin has been in the Ukraine.

Viktor

Medvedev is actually more aggressive than Putin these days. Navalny sent a letter to WashPost a few day ago, bullshiting a lot how Russia after Putin should look like… and he said something like Medvedev was the biggest disappointment for the West, he turned out to be “worse than Putin”.

Last edited 2 years ago by Viktor
Furkan

Medvedev is traitor he will no help Assad with war

Антон

This is also not true, because he was the president in 2008-2012, i.e. before attempt of coup in Syria. He illegally broke S-300 deal with Iran, because even the UN didn’t sanctioned defensive types of weapon. Medvedev was afraid to disappoint “western partners”, it cost ~1 billion dollars and trust of Iran.

Redguard

Ramzan Kadyrov is honestly the only Russian politician I can respect, the only one who speaks frankly while all others are just like “Everything is fine, everything is going according the plan” while losing territory, soldiers, equipment, civilians, respect and latest the Nord Stream pipeline. Obviously the Chechens are going to start thinking “Wait, why are we fighting harder for Russia then Russians themselves?”. Ramzan put all his faith in the Russian leadership, told his people to support the united Motherland, devoted his best soldiers and now the Russian military command is failing, and this makes him look like a fool back home then as well, his own reputation is on the line because of someone else’s games.

How long do we keep justifying defeats? First it was “Okay, the retreat from northern Ukraine is not a problem, who cares”, then came “Retreat from Kharkov is fine who cares”, “Retreat from Izyum is just a slight setback” then is “Release of convicted mercenaries and nazis is okay, who cares”, now retreat from Krasny Liman.

My question is simple: How long does this go on?

from my military background and many military analysts from russia, europe and the usa, i hear since 8 months always the same: we cant belive what the russians are doing and dont understand any of theyr military planings and steps at all. if the moscow morons and general staff idiots dont change urgently theyr tactics and strategy, than the russian military will face a total defeat in ukraine.

Carlo

Two days ago the Russians lost their first Uran-9 in Lyman. One has to be incompetent to deploy such a vehicle in a critical area.

Alex

Absolutely. It’s one thing if you deploy it in Mariupol when you are advancing and can recover your lost equipment but deploying it in the city likely to fall is beyond incompetence, it’s idiocy. Next time they’ll lose Armata or SU-57, only to be handed over to NATO.

Marius

“One minute decides the outcome of a battle, one hour the success of a campaign, one day the fate of empires.” Alexander Suvorov, the best Russian general of all time

We all knew RuA needed more troops back in February/March. Read my comments here literally after 3-4 days of SMO. Igor Girkin said it countless times. Why not mobilizing 200k on day one, to be ready in April. Another 200k in May/June. If Ukros surrender, great! If not, you have 400k troops ready to deploy.

Yet the Kremlin delayed mobilization way too long and wasted months on ‘special operation’ without clear objective or strategy, slowly grinding heavily fortified strongholds and wasting missiles on random targets, while Ukros and their NATO masters reorganized, re-armed and retrained their army. They still do: there are another 10k in UK right now trained by NATO instructors for urban combat, and another group in Poland, and another in Ukraine ofc. Soon they will receive modern tanks, perhaps even long range tactical missiles, US combat drones… next spring AFU will be even better trained and equipped. They already show very capable offensive tactical abilities, and they certainly know to defend. If Russians want to win this war, or at least not to lose this war, they must change something and they must change it fast. Time is against Russia here, something that Kremlin fail to realize. btw I don’t see problem with Russian soldiers, their defense around Lyman prove they are not demoralized cowards as NATO propagandists claim. But no doubt they ask themselves : “what the hell is going on?”. Even Margarita Simonyan, the chief of RT asked the same question. Russian weapons are not the problem either. The real problem is leadership from Putin to generals. They grotesquely underestimated Ukr capabilities and determination, and they keep underestimating them for some reason.

Thank you for a honest objective assessment. It will be tough to cut through the trolls that are going wild today and will be for sometime to come. I don’t think this defeat stops at Lyman. Russia risks complete defeat unless they starting changing things. a 500 troop garrison???? They knew for weeks this was coming to Liman.

Cromwell

If those nazi animals are not stopped from getting deep into Donbass i dread to think what slaughter will take place against the civilians.

Viktor

After Lyman Ukrops can choose whether to go against Kremina/Rubizhne or Svatovo. They must be stopped there or the entire north flank will collapse, entire Lugansk PR. Hopefully newly mobilized troops will be ready soon and also mud season will slow them down. But they will certainly try to take as soon as possible, they are very confident after these successes in the north and they want to keep up the momentum.

Cromwell

Its hard to work out what the thinking is with the Russian military high command,i have been waiting for them to bring out the big guns and start hitting targets all over Ukraine, that includes the fascist ledership and their Nato handlers, railways ,bridges, airports,TV and internet, time to get serious.

Last edited 2 years ago by Cromwell

“Igor Girkin said it countless times.” Igor Strelkov/Girkin is a man with dead reputation, so it doesn’t matter what he said, his words is like words of ukros. That’s why they invited him a lot for TV programs.

Befree

Putin better personally take a damned good look at what is going on, get the facts straight, and fix it.

owkaka

Kadyrov first complained about exchange of POWs (and yes, he was right) and now this. But he is complaining too much, he should talk with Putin instead of trolling on internet. One general is not the problem here and definitely not because his HQ is far away from the frontline because ukros are actively trying to kill as many Russian generals. He can command and control from Lugansk. The problem is Russians don’t have enough soldiers to cover entire frontline and they also can’t counter ukro tactics of using small mobile units to probe their defenses and outflank them. But solving this problem is bigger than one general.

Quidam

Problem is that it is typical russian warfare. They always retreat and strike back. The main issue is that they are fighting with a hand tied in the back, they don’t want to hurt the civilian population and that’s a huge handicap NATO, who showed several times they couldn’t careless about civilians, is ruthlessly exploiting. The only reason they still have HIMARS is because they are firing them from population center. Add to that they basically destroyed the Ukrainian army, the professional soldiers they are fighting right now come from NATO , which have a much larger military to spend than Russia, the cannon folder and the puppet brass are Ukrainian and that’s about it.

Sam

Putin and his leadership are one big failures in UA and in Syria. Putin screw up in 2008 and 20014 and now all the civilians paying price, while Putin sits in Kremlin save and protected. Russia needs new leadership. Time for Putin to go, before Russia will sink

Trying to prevent 22nd of June Putin triggered it. Now dogs are not just barking, they are biting. And caravan keeps retreating…

It is going to happen. The Russian Federation is fast becoming a huge embarrassment, why would the Chechen’s want to be associated with such a sad joke?

Viktor

No it’s not going to happen. That can only happen if Putin falls and some pro-western ‘liberal’ faction take power (like that freak Navalny). Kadyrov won’t accept this. But at this point that’s science fiction. Then who knows, back in 1914. nobody believe that pro-british scum Kernesky and then pro-german scum Lenin could take power in 1917.

Viktor

Youth is not running out of the country, that’s retarded NATO bullshit. There are 100 cars on Georgian border (deliberately half closed to make traffic slower).

Антон

Real numbers of moved out via Finland, Eurogeorgia (in asian part of Caucasus region) and Kazahstan is around 300 thousand people. No need to hide this information, such kind of people are everywhere and in every time, even in the time of the Great Patriotic war. Traitors who fled to nazis and served them with weapon in hands were hanged in 1945-46. Modern deserters will not be hanged, but need to cut their civil rights — to be elected and have a post in government. 300 thousands out, several millions of loayal people in after referendums.

A few marginal notes. About the generals. In the Kharkov direction, General Mykhailo Stepanovych Zusko also commands. His brother Mykola lives in Kyiv and is a colonel who works in the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In Ukraine, Mykhail has a huge number of relatives. A bunch of brothers and sisters. Mykhailo is from Volhynia. Zusko is in command of our 58th army. In the course of our war, the 58th Army has always suffered catastrophic losses. Entire columns were burned as if it had been done on purpose. No conclusions were drawn on Zusko. He commanded in the Kharkov direction, where we had a rapid collapse of the front, he also covered one of the flanks of Krasny Liman. So it goes.

Kharkov front was the biggest screw up in the entire war, one error after another. I remember on day 2 or 3 when they sent 2-3 light Tigrs right into the city center only to be ambushed and destroyed (duh, what a surprise). Entire military command on this front should have been replaced long time ago and also court martialed for treason.

...

Volhynia is in Western Ukraine… like having a German general in command of Soviet front in WW2

The rivalries and the competition for the appearance of authority is entirely out of place when the lives of the men that you depend on in battle are on the line. You cannot play politics with the blood of your soldiers, this bickering must be ended. And, allowing the nato garrison in Kharkov to take the field is not for the good.

I have just read the sep. 30 Putin’s speach and I have understood that Russia is at war with those managing the US. It is a war of civilization and it will end only when one party will have disappeared. So this war is going to last and Russia’s priority must be to reduced the loss as Assad in Syria. In this case , the retreat of Liman may have been wise. Yet as everyone siding with Russia, I am eager to hear news telling me that Russia is progressing in its operation against the Kiev’s regime

Nothing jewish there. Lapin derives from russian word ‘lapa’, a paw. He could be a jew, if he was Lapkin, Galkin, Zalkind, but it means nothing. Anti-zionist committee in USSR was headed by general Dragunskiy, who was a jew. Not healthy concentration on jews won’t help to understand what’s going on. US citizen of South African origin, he has lithuanian-jewish roots. His surname derived from Lopian. So you are partly right that Lapin can be also a jewish surname. It’s like Yakov Kedmi, he was Kazakov from the birth, but changed his surname to Kedmi in Israel. Or Valeriy Kogan/Ariel Coen, Dmitriy Simis/Simes. Jews as many other emigrants adopting their names to a country where they live. Lopian became Lapin.

Stop the bullshit u idiot. This crap maybe makes sense for the die hard putin lovers, but even putin himself knows that when he does that, that he will have to face the full force of Nato and US. Russia will be attacked from all sides and possibly result in the total annihilation of Russia. If anything these phony threats do, is signaling that Russia cant win in a conventional war against Ukraine. Let alone against the US and it allies.

There will be no conventional war idiot. If they attack Russia they must be immediately nuked into oblivion. But NATO pussies won’t do anything if Russia use tactical nukes in ukraine. for all their bullshit they don’t really gives a fuck about ukies.
