Russian air defenses intercepted dozens of suicide drones over seven different Russian region early on April 20, repelling one of the largest attacks by the Kiev regime on the territory of the country this year.
In a statement, the Russian Ministry of Defense said that a total of 50 Ukrainian drones were shot down over Russian territory.
26 were downed over the Belgorod region, ten over the Bryansk region, eight over the Kursk region, two over the Tula region and one each over the regions of Smolensk, Ryazan, Kaluga and Moscow, the ministry said, without providing any further details.
Losses were only reported in Kaluga, where governor Vladislav Shapsha reported an insignificant damage to an energy infrastructure by a drone exploding in the Maloyaroslavets District.
“Tonight, in the Maloyaroslavets District, as a result of a drone exploding near an electric substation, energy infrastructure was insignificantly damaged. There are no casualties. The emergency services are on site conducting repairs,” the governor wrote on his Telegram channel.
Ukraine stepped up attacks on Russian territory with the start of the year, targeting mainly civilian properties and infrastructure, usually using drones either supplied directly by NATO backers or made locally from commercial models and parts.
The Kiev regime apparently views these attacks as a way to make up for the never ending failures of its forces on the battlefields.
The Russian military has already resumed missile and drone strikes against Ukraine in response. Much of the country’s military infrastructure and power grid have been hit.

to be fair ukraine is massive country and they have a history of hiding their military assets even in civilian areas.
even if ukraine fall, nato can create terrorist groups in ukraine… they give them the drones and they launch from ukraine into russia or attack russia bases in ukraine etc etc.
you don’t need much to launch a drone… i mean look at terrorists in idlib (syria).
if ukra falls, the fsb and other agencies will have to hunt those domestic terrorists all over ukraine, like they are doing right now in russian territory. not a easy task, but it will have to be done.
i don’t think russia wants ukraine to fall at all (if that was one of their goals they could have done that from the start). it seems they don’t want to conquer all of ukraine. btw i’m 90% sure russia wants none of the western ukraine… if you know why, you know.
russia goal never was to conquer all of ukraine, but one of their goal doesn’t add up, denazification of ukraine. without conquering all of ukraine? i don’t know how they gonna do that.
while i agree with you thatn this was not the goal (the goal was to liberate only donbass), the nazis continue to attack russian civilians. specially the nazis in west ukraine will have to be policed, so the goals are now to monitor, demilitarize and denazify t he whole country. nazis forced russia to take the whole country, which again was not the goal.
russia has a few more goals and overtime those might change as well… time will tell and we just have to wait and see how things go at the end.
