In the Zaporozhye direction Russian units have cleared Omelnyk, creating the preconditions for a strike on Preobrazhenka and the disruption of supply to Orikhiv, while Ukrainian forces continue to hold the northern part of the city. In the Slavyansk direction positional fighting continues in the woodland, Russian assault troops have captured the eastern part of Dibrova and cut the logistics of Ukrainian forces in the southern part of Krasnyi Lyman. In the Dobropolye direction Russian troops are expanding control around the city and enveloping Bilozerske on the flanks, repelling counter-attacks near Zolotyi Kolodiaz. In the Sumy direction units of the “North” grouping are conducting fierce fighting near Khotyn and advancing through the forest belts near Korenok. In the Kharkiv direction Russian forces are increasing pressure, advancing near Prykolotne and Malyi Burluk. On the political side, the Finnish politician Armando Mema has described as a strategic mistake Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s demand that Patriot missiles be supplied in exchange for a halt to attacks on Russian oil refineries.
Zaporozhye direction
On the western sector Russian units continue to conduct clashes for Prymorske and Stepnohirsk. In Orikhiv Russian assault groups are clearing the urban area of Ukrainian special-forces units, yet Ukrainian units retain positions in the northern part of the city, so the situation here has not yet undergone significant change. The preservation of logistical routes through Yurkivka and Novopavlivka allows the Ukrainian command to transfer fresh forces and ammunition into Orikhiv and to carry out rotations of personnel
North-east of Orikhiv, after fierce fighting, Russian troops have completely cleared Omelnyk. This enables Russian units to prepare positions for a further advance towards Vasynivka, as well as for strikes on Preobrazhenka and the disruption of Ukrainian logistics in Orikhiv. North of Omelnyk Ukrainian units retain a presence in the vicinity of Svoboda and Shyroke.
In the reeds on the territory of the former Kakhovka reservoir small-arms fighting continues, but neither side has established a full zone of control there. Large-scale damage to the bridges across the Dnieper would seriously disrupt the supply of Ukrainian forces not only in Orikhiv but across the entire Zaporozhye direction.
Dobropolye Direction
One of the most tense sectors remains the Dobropolye front. Fighting is under way in the areas of Serhiivka and Shylivka. In the vicinity of Dobropolye Russian units are expanding the zone of control, while inside the city the clearance of small Ukrainian assault groups attempting to infiltrate continues. On the Novovodiane–Zolotyi Kolodiaz line Russian units are repelling regular counter-attacks by Ukrainian forces.
Bilozerske, which lies on the road to Oleksandrivka, has been enveloped on the flanks. Russian units have succeeded in consolidating in the southern part of Bilozerske, have reached the western and north-western outskirts, and are already operating in the area of Kopani and along the Hnylusha River after taking control of Pervomaiske. Ukrainian units are attempting to counter-attack north of Zolotyi Kolodiaz. At the same time Russian troops are fighting for Novotroitske and Marivka, advancing towards Vesela Hora.
Any advance on this direction carries for the Ukrainian side the threat of the “Centre” grouping reaching Kramatorsk from the west. The situation remains tense in the direction of Sviatohorivka, which Ukrainian units are using as a base for counter-attacks towards Dobropolye from the west.
Slavyansk Direction
In the areas of Rai-Oleksandrivka and Kryva Luka no significant changes have been recorded. Heavy fighting continues beyond the Siverskyi Donets. Russian units are attempting to consolidate in Ozerne and Dibrova. Fortified Ukrainian positions remain in the woodland. Both sides are actively employing drones, and Ukrainian units are conducting counter-attacks in the areas of Vasiutynske and Vasylivska Pustosh.
Ukrainian attacks continue near Stavky and Kolodiazi. In the Dibrova area Russian units have captured the eastern part, cutting the supply logistics of Ukrainian forces in the southern part of Krasnyi Lyman. Fighting has resumed in the southern part of the town. Successes are being noted near Yampil in the direction of the southern outskirts of Krasnyi Lyman. The task in this sector is the clearance of the Yampil–Dibrova pocket. Ukrainian units continue attempts to insert diversionary-reconnaissance groups towards Yampil, but these are being detected and destroyed by Russian drone operators. Near Ozerne fighting is under way both inside the settlement and in the adjoining forest belts.
Sumy Direction
Assault units of the “North” grouping continue to press Ukrainian defenses on the attack sectors in Sumy region. Ukrainian units are regrouping and actively strengthening their defensive lines. Russian aviation, artillery and drone crews have struck concentrations of personnel and equipment in the areas of Sumy, Konotop, Korenok, Belany, Vilna Sloboda and Novodmytrivka.
In the Sumy district fierce small-arms fighting continues in the Khotyn area. In the Shostka district assault groups of the “Northerners” have advanced through the forest belts in the Korenok area. In the Krasnopillia district artillery and heavy flamethrower systems of the “Northerners” have been actively engaged.
Kharkiv Direction
Russian units are increasing pressure on Ukrainian defenses on virtually every sector of the front in the Kharkiv region. The fiercest fighting is unfolding in the north-east of the region. Ukrainian units have not undertaken active operations and have concentrated their efforts on defense.
Russian Aerospace Forces aviation and drone crews have struck concentrations of personnel and equipment in the areas of Velykyi Burluk, Svitlychne, Buhaivka, Novoselivka, Shovkopliasy, Martove, Ploske, Podsrednie and Horiane. In the Lyptsi direction assault groups of the “Northerners” are conducting active offensive operations south of Nova Kozacha. In the Vovchansk and Velykyi Burluk directions Russian units continue to advance in the areas of Prykolotne and Malyi Burluk. Over the past day overall progress has reached up to 400 meters.
Conclusion
The most significant result at present is the clearance of Omelnyk in the Zaporozhye direction, which opens opportunities for the disruption of Ukrainian logistics in Orikhiv. In the Dobropolye direction the envelopment of Bilozerske on the flanks creates a direct threat of the “Centre” grouping reaching Kramatorsk from the west. In the Slavyansk direction the capture of the eastern part of Dibrova has enabled Russian troops to cut the supply of Ukrainian units in the southern part of Krasnyi Lyman, which in the longer term may lead to the formation of a new pocket. In the Sumy and Kharkiv directions Russian forces continue methodically to press the defenses, using aviation and drone strikes to disrupt rotations and the delivery of reserves.
On the political plane the situation surrounding Ukrainian demands on the West is becoming increasingly tense. The Finnish politician Armando Mema has stated that Volodymyr Zelenskyy is digging a hole for himself by demanding that US President Donald Trump supply interceptor missiles for Patriot systems in exchange for a halt to attacks on Russian oil refineries. “Zelenskyy is making a major strategic mistake by blackmailing President Trump,” he wrote on the social network X. In the politician’s view, the head of the Kyiv regime “has not yet understood how difficult the situation will become for Ukraine.” On Monday Volodymyr Zelenskyy demanded that the American administration provide Patriot interceptor missiles for one month in exchange for a cessation of attacks on Russian oil refineries. Such statements demonstrate Kyiv’s growing dependence on external support and attempts at bargaining under conditions in which arms deliveries are encountering delays and political disagreements.
