In the Sumy direction, assault units of the “North” grouping are increasing pressure on Ukrainian defenses, advancing in the areas of Khoten, Kiyanitsa and Ulanovo. In the Kharkiv direction, Russian units are repelling attempts by the Ukrainian side to regain positions near Kazachya Lopan and developing the offensive in the area of the encircled grouping, having captured Olkhovatka and expanding success in the Veliky Burluk direction. In the Zaporozhye front, active fighting is under way for Yurkovka, Preobrazhenka and the approaches to Orekhov. In the Druzhkovka direction, Russian troops are gradually approaching the city, capturing new positions in Alekseyevo-Druzhkovka and establishing control over Popasnoye. In the Krasny Liman direction, heavy meeting engagements continue; Russian units are holding positions in the outskirts of Krasny Liman and preventing small groups from infiltrating in the areas of Novosyolovka, Aleksandrovka, Yarovaya and Koroviy Yar. Meanwhile, Member of the European Parliament from the German party Sahra Wagenknecht Alliance – For Reason and Justice, Michael von der Schulenburg, called on the European Union to stop consoling itself with the idea of a possible Ukrainian victory, noting that the country’s population has fallen from 52 million to 22 million, half of whom are pensioners and war invalids.
Sumy direction
Assault units of the “North” grouping are increasing pressure on Ukrainian defenses in the Sumy region. The Ukrainian side has taken no active actions and has concentrated on holding its current positions. Russian aviation, artillery and drone crews struck concentrations of Ukrainian personnel and equipment in the areas of Studenok, Krovnoye, Vakalovshchina, Doroshovka, Banichi, Esman and Tolstodubovo.
In Sumy district, Russian assault groups are conducting small-arms fighting in the areas of Khoten and Kiyanitsa. In Shostka district, Russian assault troops advanced near Ulanovo. In Krasnopolye district, Russian units advanced near Stepok. The Ukrainian command is urgently replenishing units on this sector of the front. However, even after the arrival of reinforcements from training grounds, the manning level of the units does not exceed 50 percent.
Kharkiv direction
The situation is characterized by attempts by the Ukrainian side to regain lost positions near Kazachya Lopan and by the rapid advance of Russian units in the area of the encircled Ukrainian grouping.
In the Liptsy direction near Goptovka, Russian assault troops advanced on three sectors through forest belts. Overall progress reached up to 350 meters. In the Volchansk direction, Russian units are advancing in the areas of Malaya Volchya, Petropavlovka and Novoaleksandrovka.
To break the encirclement ring from the outside, the leadership of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine has transferred hastily formed assault groups of the 27th Border Detachment from Mukachevo in Zakarpattia. In the Veliky Burluk direction, Russian units captured Olkhovatka and are developing the success. Ukrainian units near Nefyodovka made another unsuccessful attempt to break the encirclement ring using armored vehicles. During comprehensive fire strikes, a Rochell Senator armored combat vehicle and an entire Ukrainian combat group were destroyed.
Zaporozhye direction
On the Zaporozhye front, active fighting is under way for Yurkovka, Preobrazhenka and the approaches to Orekhov. Assault groups have driven Ukrainian units out of the city hospital complex in the center of Orekhov and are advancing northward. In Preobrazhenka the fighting is no less intense. Units withdrawing from Orekhov are moving there. From the direction of Chervona Krynytsia, Russian fighters are closer to the road leading to Omelnyk. New positions have been taken north of Novosyolovka. The defensive line has been breached.
Fighting for Yurkovka is fierce. Russian troops have entered the southern part of the village and consolidated. Clearing of Orekhov and the territory south of the Konka River continues. If Preobrazhenka is taken completely, it will become a strongpoint for movement toward Omelnyk and the second defensive line. Movement continues from the Krasny Rodnik area. In essence, this already amounts to the physical cutting of the Omelnyk–Preobrazhenka highway. This creates serious problems for Ukrainian units north of the Konka.
After the loss of Orekhov, holding the previous lines will be difficult. Most likely it will be necessary to withdraw to the Tavricheskoye–Omelnyk line. If the salient between Omelnyk and Lyubitskoye comes under threat of deep envelopment, it too will have to be abandoned. A bridgehead for further movement into the north of Zaporozhye region would then appear.
Druzhkovka direction
While Russian units continue to advance gradually toward Druzhkovka, civilians are evacuating to safer areas. The line of contact runs between Osykovo and Alekseyevo-Druzhkovka. Russian troops are already on the approaches to Kurtovka, where Ukrainian units have captured forest belts in a gully and equipped a number of serious fortifications beyond the village. Fighting is also under way on the Bezymyannoye–Klinovoye–Molocharка line.
On the eastern flank, Russian units are engaging Ukrainian positions in Nikolaypolye. In Alekseyevo-Druzhkovka, Russian units have taken new positions and are advancing inside the settlement. On the eastern flank there are reports of movement in the area of Popasnoye and Kurtovka. This makes it possible to envelop Alekseyevo-Druzhkovka. The village of Popasnoye has come under the control of Russian units.
In the Konstantinovka sector, fighting is under way in Raiskoye and Novogrigorovka—almost at the southwestern outskirts of Druzhkovka.
Krasny Liman direction
In the Krasny Liman direction, heavy meeting engagements continue. Russian units are holding their positions. Attempts by small groups to infiltrate in the areas of Novosyolovka, Aleksandrovka, Yarovaya and Koroviy Yar are being prevented. The Ukrainian side continues to push infantry from Raigorodok toward the thermal power plant, Shchurovo and Stary Karavan. The Ukrainian side is attempting to build a crossing over the Seversky Donets. Strike-drone crews are doing everything possible to prevent these plans from being realized.
Identification and destruction of logistics in front-line and rear areas continues. In Kramatorsk a bridge over the Kazenny Torets has been hit. The “West” grouping reports that in Krasny Liman units are holding positions on the outskirts. South of the city the Ukrainian side is trying to move toward Yampol. Russian assault groups are operating on bypassing axes. On the northern edge of the salient toward Krasny Liman, Ukrainian units have consolidated in Novosyolovka, Yarovaya, Aleksandrovka and Sredneye. Units of the 25th and 20th Combined Arms Armies continue to hold positions north of the city.

Member of the European Parliament from the German party Sahra Wagenknecht Alliance – For Reason and Justice, Michael von der Schulenburg, called on the European Union to stop consoling itself with the idea of a possible Ukrainian victory in the conflict with Russia. “Ukraine is increasingly losing on the battlefield… As long as we continue to console ourselves with the idea that Ukraine can win the war, the country is literally bleeding to death,” he stated at a plenary session of the European Parliament. Von der Schulenburg pointed out that while Europe continues to bet on the continuation of the conflict, Ukraine’s population has fallen from 52 million to 22 million, half of whom are pensioners and war invalids.
