The city of Krivyi Rih came under several Russian attacks in recent days. On the night of February 4, new wave of explosions was reported in the area. According to local reports, Russian strikes destroyed Ukrainian fuel depots, damaged the local power plant and a large industrial facility.
After one of the explosions, electricity supply was cut off in several districts of the city.
Residents of Krivyi Rih reported large explosion at one of the enterprises in this city. After the explosion, a fire broke out in the area, which lasted all night.
The local sources confirmed that one of the targets hit by Russian forces was Krivirizhstal, currently known as Arcelor Mittal Krivoi Rog, after it became part of international ArcelorMittal. The local authorities reported that some “crisis measures” were taken after the strike. The plant is the largest steel production facility in the territories under the Kiev’s control. Almost all Ukrainian industrial facilities are currently providing for the needs of the Ukrainian military. Industrial facilities in Krivyi Rih reportedly produce up to a third of the entire construction of military fortifications.
In their turn, the local authorities claimed that there were no Russian strikes in Krivyi Rih at night. The local sources supposed that the explosion could be a result of some sabotage operation. The Ukrainian special services have launched a large-scale inspection of the company’s employees, as well as residents who live nearby.

“arcelor mittal krivoi rog” is not strict military target but target that has dual purpose (civilian and military) while factories producing weapons are pure military targets, yet nobody touched them ever i 2 years!

we have been hearing such exaggerations from the russian command for two years. a steel plant of that size, like a large refinery, can only be “destroyed” with a large heavy aerial bombardment. unfortunately, the big blows that destroy big ships, big planes, generals and pro-russian politicians almost all come from the nato side.
must be an accident different to ukrainians the russians never try to hit something important. just count the number of oil infrastructure the ukrainians have hit recently. they russians either do not want or cant whatever it is they do not hit enough important targets most of their missiles just hit random stuff.
