Saudi forces have repelled the Houthis’ drone attack on the southern Saudi city of Abha, the Saudi-owned Al Arabiya television channel reported on May 26 citing the Saudi-led coalition.
According to the report, Saudi Arabia destroyed the drone attempting to approach Abha airport.
At the same time, the pro-Houthi media claimed that the Yemeni group had successfully targeted the airport with an armed drone.
The sides have provided no info about the type of the used armed drone. However, according to experts, the Houthis likely used a Qasef-1 type “suicide drone”.
