Senior Hezbollah Official Says Diplomacy Does Not Work With Israel, Only Force

On October 7, a senior official of Hezbollah warned that Israel does not understand the language of diplomacy, stressing that only force could secure Lebanon’s rights in the disputed gas-rich naval area.

Sheikh Ali Damush, head of Hezbollah Executive Council, made the warning just a few days after reports revealing that Israel’s Prime Minister Yair Lapid intends to reject Lebanon’s requested modifications to the United States proposal on resolving the maritime border dispute. The proposal was delivered by U.S. envoy Amos Hochstein earlier this month.

“The enemy [Israel] does not understands the language of diplomacy, and wrong he is who believes that the enemy can accept Lebanon’s rights through the logic of negotiation alone, the enemy only understands the logic of force and this is what all past experiences have proven,” Damush said during his Friday prayer sermon. “We are confident in ourselves and in our strength and are ready for all eventualities, it is not possible for us to remain silent about our rights, and the resistance today is stronger, tougher and more powerful than ever before.”

Damush added that the unified Lebanese stand on the maritime dispute has “confused” Israel and left it with very limited options.

The official went on to say that Israel’s recent threats “have no value,” noting that they caused more panic and fear in northern Israel than in Lebanon.

“The enemy today is afraid, confused and disturbed, and we are in a position of strength, because we are the owners of the right, and the right does not die as long as there are demands behind it, so how about if the resistance [Hezbollah] was behind it,” the official said.

The maritime dispute between Israel and Lebanon returned to the spot light in June when the Greek-owned Energean Power FPSO [Floating Production Storage Offloading] reached the Karish naval field to extract gas for Israel. Lebanon claims that at least a part of the gas field is within its exclusive economic zone.

Hezbollah has repeatedly warned Israel against extracting gas from the disputed field before the maritime border with Lebanon are demarcated.

Hochstein is reportedly making immense effort to keep the indirect talks between Israel and Lebanon ongoing. However, this will not likely be enough to prevent a full-blown war between the two countries if Israel launch gas production at Karish. If this happens, Hezbollah will likely attack the field, or at least attempt to disturb operations there.

Took a while but better late than never. The only thing that the angloZionaZi empire of shit understands is destruction. Do not try reasoning or making “deals” with vermin. It has to be “taken out”. That works every time.
