On July 17, several videos documenting combat operations that the Russian military conducted against Kiev forces in recent days were posted to social networks.
Nine of the videos show dozens of attacks with FPV suicide drones, grenade-dropping drones, and interceptor drones that targeted Ukrainian troops, posts and equipment, in Donetsk, Luhansk and several other directions in the special military operation zone.
Two more videos show strikes with Lancet loitering munitions that destroyed an armored personnel carrier and a self-propelled howitzer in Donetsk and the direction of Khakiv.
Another video shows an attack with a Geran-2 suicide drone on a training ground of Kiev forces near the settlement of Simonovka in the Sumy direction.
Two other videos show airstrikes on Ukrainian positions near the settlements of Rodinskoe in Donetsk, as well as in the settlements of Olgovka and Kupyansk in Kharkiv. The strikes were carried out using UMPK-equipped guided glide bombs and a LMUR guided missile.
In addition, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced in its daily briefing that missile and drone strikes hit “an enterprises producing strike FPV drones, storage and control areas of unmanned aerial vehicles, air defence systems, field airfield facilities as well as temporary deployment areas of Ukrainian troops” in 133 areas over the past 24 hours.
The ministry added that Russian air defenses shot down two Neptune long-range guided missiles and 308 fixed-wing drones during the same period.
According to the ministry, Kiev forces have lost 664 aircraft, 283 helicopters, 70,079 drones, 619 air defense systems, 24,240 tanks and other armored fighting vehicles, 1,577 multiple rocket launchers, 27,480 artillery pieces, and 38,290 support vehicles since the start of the special military operation.
