On March 12, anti-armor units of the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) targeted militants’ vehicles in the western countryside of Idlib.
The units destroyed two vehicles and a motorcycle in the town of al-Kindah with anti-tank guided missiles. At least four militants were killed in the strikes. Several others were reportedly injured.
According to the UK-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, the destroyed vehicles belonged to the Ahrar al-Sham Movement, a key faction of the Turkish-backed National Front for Liberation.

The strikes were likely a response to recent violations of the ceasefire in the region of Greater Idlib, which was brokered by Russia and Turkey on March 5 of last year.
According to the Russian Reconciliation Center in Syria, the militants carried out 19 ceasefire violations in Greater Idlib over the last 24 hours.
The recent strikes by the SAA and its allies on Greater Idlib inflicted some heavy losses on militants there. However, ceasefire violations still take place on a daily basis. The Russian-Turkish de-escalation agreement has not lead to the full removal of the terrorist threat from the region.
