On Wednesday, the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) and Hezbollah advanced 8km toward the ISIS-held T-2 station in the southern Deir Ezzor countryside, according to the Hezbollah media wing in Syria.

The source added that the SAA is now only 9km away from the strategic station.

Back on Tuesday, the ISIS-linked Amaq agency reported that ISIS fighters attacked the SAA positions in Wadi al-Wa’r village 10km south of the T-2 station. Amaq said that the SAA withdrew from the village after the attack.

A Syrian pro-government source told South Front that 19 soldiers of the SAA were killed in the ISIS attack on Wadi al-Wa’r. The SAA than withdrew from the village because it is complicated to defend it while ISIS controls the T-2 station, according to the source.

The T-2 station is located 65km west of the last ISIS stronghold in Syria, al-Bukamal city, near the Syrian-Iraqi border. The SAA is likely planning to attack al-Bumakal from the direction of the T-2 station after capturing it.

The SAA military operation towards al-Bukamal is likely coordinated with the upcoming Iraqi Army military operation to capture al-Qa’im city, one of the last ISIS strongholds in Iraq.

Advance 8km today, withdrawal 7km tomorrow? Like some kind of strange dance in the dessert. :/ OH CRAP, Solomon is starting to effect my typing! I have to sign off now. :DD

One pic to the last, are these air drop?

“Some of God-send bounty for his servants”? Really?

as

Abandoned caches probably ? They have set up multiple defense line with hidden ammunition in between.

Bob

If mean the nylon sheeting under the boxes – that is weatherproof nylon – likely these crates been wrapped and buried in dugout depots.

Garga

That, and the caption, which I wrote a rough translation of.

as

I see from the latter picture of weapon caches went unused i think IS didn’t have the kind of manpower to utilize their regular mobile defensive tactics anymore. Or their firepower overwhelmed from the start of the battle.

PZIVJ

Could be Grad 122mm rockets. Hopefully the ISIS launcher truck got smoked. :)

Fuck that T2! Just cross Euphrates near Maadin and go to capture Omar fields.

all fronts are important…..t2 is near the border with Iraq.if they manage to establish full controll of their borders then the war will be over

I wouldn’t want to be Isis defending T2:

I dont understand why capturing T2 pumping station is so hard. It has been months and the frontline is the same.
