On August 22, the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) tightened its siege on the remaining fighters of ISIS in the area of al-Safa, north of the governorate of al-Suwayda, and reinforced its positions there, according to the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA).
Sham Hamdan, a reporter of the Syrian al-Ikhbariyah TV, said that warplanes of the Syrian Arab Air Force (SyAAF) conducted a new series of airstrikes on ISIS fortifications and hideouts in al-Safa.
Local observers believe that few hundreds of ISIS fighters are currently besieged in al-Safa. These terrorists are hiding around 30 civilians, who were abducted from the eastern al-Suwayda countryside earlier this month.
Last week the SAA slowed down its operations in al-Safa to insure the safety of the hostages. Currently, several special forces units of the SAA backed by Russian military advisers are working to find and free these hostages as fast as possible.
Good luck to them hopefully they find the hostages alive and well.
Theyll need luck for that indeed
Maybe syria should establish outposts on isis bases so they dont come back
