Late on November 29, the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) repelled a large attack by al-Qaeda-affiliated Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) on one of its key positions around Greater Idlib.
The attack targeted the town of Ejaz, which is located near the administrative borders between the southeastern Idlib countryside and the southwestern countryside of Aleppo.

According to the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA), the SAA repelled the attack following hours of heavy clashes with HTS’ terrorists. The army destroyed two battle tanks and several other vehicles of the terrorist group.
HTS has not commented on the attack, so far. The terrorist group is well-known for hiding its failed operations and losses.
The attack on Ejaz is an example of the violations committed by HTS in the last two months. Recent reports suggest that the SAA is preparing to launch a large-scale operation in the southeastern part of Greater Idlib to put an end to these provocations.
