In a new violation of the Russian-Turkish Demilitarized zone agreement, militants of Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) [the former branch of al-Qaeda] launched several rockets at the government-held towns of Safsafiyah and Khirbat Damas in the northern Hama countryside on December 16, according to the Syrian Arab News agency (SANA).
“The terrorist rocket attack caused material damage, however no civilians were wounded,” the SANA’s reporter in Hama said.
The SAA responded to this violation and shelled positions of HTS north of the two towns. As a result, several military equipment of the radical group were destroyed and many militants were wounded.
A day earlier, the SAA repelled an attack by HTS’ ally, the Turkistan Islamic Party (TIP), on towns in the government-held part of the northern Hama countryside. After repelling the attack, the army artillery targeted positions of the al-Qaeda-affiliated group in the towns of al-Ziyarah and Sirmaniyah.
These repeated violations may force the SAA and its allies to launch a limited military operation within the demilitarized zone around the governorate of Idlib. Such an operation could deter the militants and force them to comply with the agreement.

this is Cowardly act done by Assad Minions. many civilians will be hit by these bullets. if they are truly hero they must liberate by ground force. But Assad doesn’t care how many people will lost their lives…all he cares about hes Power in Presidency. he is a Dog.
They opened up a few humanitarian corridors to let the civilians leave HTS occupied areas, I know that doesn’t mean they could all get out though, some may not have even wanted to leave either.
Come on, what are we waiting for, Christmas, mmm, come to think of it, it would be pretty horrible starting a war through the Christmas period, I wonder if Assad and Putin feel the same way too. Assad might not be Christian but he’s certainly had a good relationship with them. Now I know that both Putin and most of the Christians in Syria are orthodox, and they celebrate Christmas on a different date to other Christians, Jan 7, could this be a good enough reason to put things on hold for a while, maybe, let’s see. Merry Christmas to all the Christian’s fighting in Syria, you deserve a break and I hope Assad gives you all one, Christians, Muslims and everybody else, happy new year too, as well as happy hunting in the new year.
