On October 30 afternoon, the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) withdrew from some of its newly-established positions in the northern al-Hasakah countryside, according to the Kurdish Hawar News Agency (ANHA).
ANHA’s reporter said that the army withdrew from the following villages and towns:
- Asadiyah, Fiqra, Qrmanih, Kr Bshk, Tell Diyab, Sherk, Ibrahumuyah and Aradah, located near the town of Darbasiyah;
- Arishah and Dawdiyah, located near the town of Tell Tamr;
- The entire countryside of the town of Abu Rasin.
The Kurdish news agency released a video showing SAA troops withdrawing from these villages and towns.
Pro-government activists claimed that the forces withdraw due to problems related to their supply line and equipment. Some units of the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) withdrew from the same areas.
A few hours earlier, Turkish-backed militants launched a large attack south of the border town of Ras al-Ayn, capturing several villages. The Turkish military provided the militants with direct support.

If true, its as expected bumping forwards as a dead elefant. Assads as ususal hardly has any supply lines and the troops might be anyone available.
Bicycles for them might be a good thing. Those save fuel and are very good against the climate change.
it seems that the deal between SDF and SAA was signed at gun point with no planning of the future moves. SAA moved in to feel the gaps but was never prepared to do so. its a vast area with few roads. if the militants capture the M4, or part of it ,resupplying is difficult.
I do not know what to think about this, it seams so strange (bad preparation ? ).
