Late on June 2, warplanes of the Syrian Arab Air Force and the Russian Airspace Forces carried out a series of airstrikes on the western Deir Ezzor countryside in Syria’s central region.
The airstrikes targeted personnel, equipment and hideouts of ISIS in the outskirts of the town of al-Shula, where a bus carrying some 30 civilians from Aleppo to Deir Ezzor was ambushed early on in the day. The exact results of the airstrikes are yet to be revealed.
Terrorists attacked the bus near the crossroad town with machine guns and rocket-propelled grenades, killing three civilians and wounding at least 21 others.
The Syrian and Russian airstrikes were most certainly a response to the deadly ambush, which was reportedly carried out by ISIS.
A large-scale operation by the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) and its allies that is taking place in the eastern Homs countryside, the eastern Hama countryside, the southern Aleppo countryside and the southern Raqqa countryside has apparently pushed ISIS cells towards the western countryside of Deir Ezzor.
The SAA and its allies will likely expand their operation to cover the western Deir Ezzor countryside. This could push the terrorist further south to the desert of Damascus, which lays between the Syrian capital and the border line with Iraq.
One of the most important reasons why Russia is winning it’s war in Ukraine is because the Russian soliders have no illusions about the real world, politics and geopolitics. A solider that is self motivated to defend his country from the true source of evil (The west) and knows what that evil is capable of doing, will stare death in the face with a smile and go down fighting. Ukraine military have no motivation to fight, they know they are being used against their own neighbour
What has this to do with Syria?
