The author of this article presents an in-depth analysis based on the socio-cultural characteristics of the people of Taiwan and mainland China. The author proves that in the second half of the 20th century, for objective reasons, Taiwan falled under the influence of the United States, which in the geopolitical dimension was focused on the global confrontation between the socialist and capitalist systems.
We invite you to express your point of view on this position in the comments.

ANALOGIES
Taiwan is not even a country, yet many are lead to believe (or want to believe) it is an independent country. But, before getting into the historical and political details, let’s try an analogy here.
Imagine there was a 2-sided civil war in France and, at the end of it, all the members of the loser side would leave the French mainland and seek refuge on the island of Corsica, the sole part of France still in their control.
Imagine there was a 2-sided civil war in the UK and, at the end of it, all the members of the loser side would leave the British mainland and seek refuge on the Isle of Man, the sole part of the UK still in their control.
Imagine there was a 2-sided civil war in the US and, at the end of it, all the members of the loser side would leave the US mainland and seek refuge on Long Island, the sole part of the US still in their control.
Obviously, such attempts to seek refuge would be futile. As humankind’s history taught us over and over, the winner gets it all. Those seeking refuge in an island belonging to the country in question would eventually be captured or killed. Anyways, the obvious outcome for the 3 conflicts I imagined above would be: the winners of the civil war, independently of their political beliefs, would gain political and military control over 100% of the territory of that country. Unless someone would show up and decide to interfere.
Imagine that, at the end of that supposed French civil war, a then almighty China would interfere, sending one of its powerful fleets to surround the island of Corsica still occupied by the remaining losers of the French civil war, thus preventing the winners of the French civil war (weak, exhausted and starving after years of war) from righteously regain control over the island.
Outrageous right? A China with a far stronger navy preventing French nationals from accessing a French island, thus preventing them from giving an end to the civil war? Wow, how would they? How would the Chinese dare act so viciously, interfering in the internal affairs of a sovereign France in such a despicable manner?
Well, the Chinese never acted in such a reckless manner, and probably never would.
But guess what? The US did, in the Chinese island of, yes, you guessed, Taiwan.
***
Watch the next 3 short-videos below to get an idea of what happened back then:
The US rogue state was then talking about an undetermined status for the Chinese island of Taiwan as if there were any doubts! And seriously, to ask Japan about Taiwan’s future status? How come? What did they need to ask from Japan?
For example, did someone ask defeated Germany what to do with the status of the part of France until then occupied by the Germans? Did someone ponder if occupied France should reunite with free France or, by US caprice, become a new nation, vassal of the US, heavily armed with US weaponry pointing at free France, and in which people would be brainwashed from birth to hate free France?
And what if the US would have decided to do the same with Poland, the Czech Republic, and so on?
Nonsense, right? The very contrary happened. Defeated Germany, not only had to abandon every country it occupied during WWII but, worse, Germany lost part of its own historical territory to Poland. Nonetheless, somehow in the hyper-wicked US logic, the Chinese island of Taiwan, after the defeat of occupier Japan, instead of being given back to its owner, should be classified as a place with undetermined status. Why?
Even worse, 7 years after the end of WWII and 2 years after the end of the Chinese civil war, an utterly inadequate Treaty of San Francisco, negotiated by one of the most despicable criminals of the 20th century (John Foster Dulles), was signed between the US and its vassal state of Japan.
In that parody of treaty between a rogue state and its new vassal, it was decided that the “legal status of the island of Taiwan is temporarily undetermined, it would be resolved at a later time in accordance with the principles of peaceful settlement of disputes and self-determination!”
Yes, you read it right: imperial genocidal Japan, one of the losers of WWII and former occupier of a Chinese island, met a third nation (rogue USA) to conclude that the status of a Chinese island was “temporarily undetermined”, due to “disputes and self-determination”.
Fast-forwarding to current reality, let’s try to understand why Taiwan is Chinese, beyond any doubt!
1st- Look at the official name of Taiwan, according to the very autonomous government of Taiwan. Its official name is “Republic of China”. If you don’t believe it, visit the website www.taiwan.gov.tw/.
The original name, in traditional Chinese, is 中華民國, which literally means Republic of the Chinese nation or Republic of China. Did you notice the original name is not in Portuguese, Swahili, Uzbek or Taiwanese… but in Chinese? Did you notice it is written using the traditional Chinese characters? Traditional like in showing a link to Chinese tradition?
Furthermore, “Republic of China” was exactly the name used by the Kuomintang (KMT) to refer to mainland China when the Kuomintang was in power in mainland China. When they lost the war to the communist side (Communist Party of China, CPC), mainland China became the People’s Republic of China and KMT-occupied Taiwan became the Republic of China. As simple as that!
2nd- Let’s give a look at the flag of Taiwan (Republic of China) from 1949 until today, and compare it with the flag of mainland China from 1928 to 1949.
This was the official flag of mainland China between 1928 and 1949, under Chiang Kai-shek’s KMT rule:
And this is the official flag of Taiwan since 1949 when Chiang Kai-shek and his fellow KMT members sought refuge in Taiwan after being defeated in the mainland:
Furthermore, this flag was first used in 1912 as the mainland China navy flag.
3rd – The official anthem of Taiwan is called National Anthem of the Republic of China (中華民國國歌 in traditional Chinese), and it is exactly the same as mainland China’s anthem between 1930 and 1949 when mainland China was ruled by the KMT.
Furthermore, the lyrics of the Taiwanese national anthem were adapted from a 1924 speech by Sun Yat-sen, a Chinese politician and a historical figure of the Chinese republicanism for both sides, the right-wingers (who fled to Taiwan after having lost the civil war) and the communists in power in mainland China. Sun Yat-sen served as the provisional first president of China after the end of Imperial China.
4th – The national seal of Taiwan (Republic of China) is the same as the mainland China national seal used between 1929 and 1949 (the period during which it was also called the Republic of China):
5TH – Ethnically, the Chinese island of Taiwan is more Chinese than China, if we use the erroneous senses most Westerners give to the words “China” and “Chinese”. Unlike the French concept of “nation-state”, “China” is a “civilizational nation” (on this subject, read What Is China?: Territory, Ethnicity, Culture, and History, by Ge Zhaoguang).
According to this Chinese concept (virtually unknown in the West), to be Chinese means, in a few words, to live in a Chinese (civilization) manner, and doesn’t have anything to do with ethnicity.
Unaware of such a concept, aggressive, interventionist, and often arrogant Westerners dare to claim Tibetans and Uighurs are not “Chinese”, thus calling for the independence of resources-rich provinces of China inhabited by people that, yes, are not ethnically “Chinese” (Han) in the Western sense of the word “Chinese”.
Back to Taiwan, yes, Taiwan is more “Chinese” than China. Why? Let’s compare the demographics of Taiwan and mainland China, and find out which one has a higher percentage of Han-Chinese (the “real” Chinese in an ethnicist nation-state logic). Taiwan:
Mainland China:
With 91,7% of Han Chinese in mainland China against 95% of Hand Chinese in Taiwan, the latter is definitely more “Chinese” than China!
6th – According to ethnologue.com, there was, in 2018, 907,000,000 people in China using Chinese Mandarin as their first language (L1) plus 178,000,000 using it as their second language (L2). Given the Chinese population in 2018 (1,427,647,789 people), Chinese Mandarin was spoken by almost 76% of the Chinese citizens.
In Taiwan, there was a total of 19,580,000 speakers of Chinese Mandarin (L1+L2), or 83%. Again, Taiwan seems to be more “Chinese” than China.
As for Taiwanese, it has zero speakers for the very simple reason there is no such language named Taiwanese.
7th – Look at the script in use in Taiwan. Unlike mainland China, whose government for practical reasons modernized the written system now called simplified Chinese, in Taiwan traditional Chinese is still in use. The word traditional before Chinese says it all. The Chinese people in Taiwan are so attached to the long Chinese tradition that they don’t even want to get rid of their traditional Chinese script.
8th – The persons who created the government of Taiwan were all Chinese, born in China, and citizens of China. Actually, they were governing the whole of China (or at least claimed so) until the day they lost the civil war! They never called nor considered themselves Taiwanese. In truth, they hoped to be able to reverse their defeat and rule the whole of China again, one day. That’s how far they were from being Taiwanese. They were simply Chinese who ran away from their headquarters in the Chinese city of Chongqing (capital of the Nationalist Government, at the very heart of mainland China). None were Taiwanese.
9th – The Kuomintang (KMT) and the people lead by the Communist Party of China (CPC, not CCP!) fought each other in a civil war lost by the KMT but, during the Japanese occupation and WWII, the 2 parties joined forces to fight the Japanese invaders, and the reason for such politically odd collaboration was very simple: they were all Chinese!
KMT was a Chinese political organization that went as far as being the ruling power of the whole of China. What else did they need to be considered as Chinese living on a Chinese island after having being defeated?
10th – China was one of the 50 UN founding nations, in 1945, then ruled by the KMT. Four years later, at the end of the Chinese civil war, the CPC rose to power and the former KMT government (of China) fled to Taiwan. Naturally, the UN would have to recognize the new government of China, as it always does when there is a successful coup or a successful overthrow of the ruling regime in one of its member states. But it didn’t.
The rogue US state goes far beyond that, recognizing its moronic puppet Juan Guaidó as president of Venezuela (although he was not even a candidate), but that’s a different issue.
What matters is that from 1949 on China was being ruled by a new communist government. Yet, because of the US rogue state’s vile stubbornness, the UN didn’t recognize the new government for a long while. China would have to wait for the independence of many countries occupied by Western powers, in order to have its voice heard in the world’s arena.
From 1949 until 1971, the Chinese seat at the UN was occupied by the government of Taiwan under the name of the Republic of China. What else has to be said to prove the Chinese island of Taiwan and its Chinese inhabitants are Chinese when we know they were, for 22 long years, the very representatives of China at the UN?
Thankfully, historical justice was finally made in 1971 with the United Nations General Assembly Resolution 2758 that decided to give the Chinese UN seat to the legitimate and sole government of China, the one ruling from Beijing.
The US and Japan voted against it, of course.
From 1971 on, the diplomatic relations between the rest of the world and China sharply moved from the Republic of China (Taiwan) to the People’s Republic of China:

THE CONSTITUTION
Let’s now check the Taiwanese constitution and look for further pieces of evidence proving Taiwan is Chinese, beyond any doubt! I beg your pardon. What I meant was: let’s now check the Constitution of the Republic of China! You can read the full version here or here.
11TH – Given the official name of their constitution, the 11th piece of evidence showing Taiwan is Chinese had to be the very official name of it: Constitution of the Republic of China!
12th- The constitution was ratified by the Kuomintang during a Constituent National Assembly Session held in 1946 in Nanjing (mainland China), and was adopted one year later, in 1947, 2 years before the very creation of that delusional thing some call “Taiwanese nation”.
That constitution, created by Chinese people living in China was written having in mind the control by the nationalist KMT over the whole of China, as we shall see later on. Nowhere in the document the name Taiwan is mentioned, only China is.
When defeated, KMT leaders fled to the Chinese Island of Taiwan and didn’t even bother to change their Chinese constitution (meant for the whole of China) nor, at least, add the word “Taiwan” here and there, in order to fool some fools.
13th – Checking the first paragraph of the Taiwanese constitution, it can read:
“The National Assembly of the Republic of China, by virtue of the mandate received from the whole body of citizens, in accordance with the teachings bequeathed by Dr. Sun Yat-sen in founding the Republic of China (…).”
As anyone can confirm, the Taiwanese constitution clearly states that the name of their national assembly is the National Assembly of the Republic of China in mainland China, not in Taiwan! It clearly refers to an assembly whose (Chinese) members were first elected in 1947, in mainland China, and whose members met for the first time in 1948 in Nanjing.
14th- Please reread the excerpt where it is written: “in accordance with the teachings bequeathed by Dr. Sun Yat-sen in founding the Republic of China”. See, the Taiwanese constitution refers to the teachings of Mr. Sun Yat-Sen for the reason he was a very important Chinese citizen in Chinese modern history (as one of the founders of the republic)! If Taiwan were a separated entity and not part of China, it should have been founded by the Taiwanese. Taiwanese should admire and spread the teachings of their Taiwanese heroes, not the teachings of heroes of the republic they perceive as the enemy.
But why not, please keep following his teachings! Mr. Sun Yat-Sen died long before KMT losers fled to Taiwan. He never preached Taiwanese independence! He preached the very opposite, then end of foreign occupation of China and the reunification of the whole of China (the Chinese island of Taiwan obviously included)!
Yes, follow the words of Mr. Sun Yat-Sen and stop being the ignorant naive instruments of your own demise on behalf of the wicked interests of the most destructive force the human race ever faced: the US Terror State (as the North American author Michael Parenti often labeled it).
15TH – The original version of what some Taiwanese persist to call the Taiwanese Constitution was original written in Chinese, not in nonexistent Taiwanese:
16TH – If this document is the constitution of Taiwan, then why there is not a single mention of Taiwan in it? Dear readers, please do this very simple exercise: search for specific terms using Ctrl+S and then type the terms. I already did it with some terms, and here are the results, showing the number of times each term is mentioned:
- “China” – 17 times;
- “Chinese citizen” – 7 times;
- “Taiwan” – 0 times;
- “Taiwanese citizen” – 0 times;
- “Mongolia” – 5 times;
- “Tibet” – 5 times.
You can try with other terms, but the conclusion would be the same. If China and Chinese citizens are mentioned all over a document where can also be found references to some Chinese autonomous provinces like Inner Mongolia or Tibet but not references to the Chinese autonomous region of Taiwan:
Firstly, those who wrote this constitution envisioned special statuses for Tibet or Mongolia, but not for Taiwan. See, why attributing a special status to Chinese Taiwan? Their own constitution never proposed it! Taiwan is simply a Chinese island, like Hainan island and others.
Secondly, this is a constitution of China that doesn’t make any reference to Taiwan because, according to those who wrote it, Taiwan was obviously part of China and such an obvious fact was not worth mentioning.
For all those intrepid sinophobic beings supporting not only the independence of Taiwan but also the independence of autonomous provinces of China such as Tibet, Inner Mongolia, or Xinjiang, some questions might be raised.
How do you explain that the constitution of Taiwan (Republic of China), in its article 64 ( and also in articles 26, 91, 119, and 120), clearly and specifically claims jurisdiction over the territories of Tibet and Inner Mongolia?
How can you support the independence of those Chinese provinces plus the independence of Taiwan if, at the same time, your beloved Taiwanese nation denies the independence you wish for Tibet or Inner Mongolia, and claim those provinces as part of their Republic of China (Taiwan)? What a conundrum, right?
Article 64
Members of the Legislative Yuan shall be elected in accordance with the following provisions:
1. Those to be elected from the provinces and by the municipalities under the direct jurisdiction of the Executive Yuan shall be five for each province or municipality with a population of not more than 3,000,000, one additional member shall be elected for each additional 1,000,000 in a province or municipality whose population is over 3,000,000;
2. Those to be elected from Mongolian Leagues and Banners;
3. Those to be elected from Tibet;
4. Those to be elected by various racial groups in frontier regions;
5. Those to be elected by Chinese citizens residing abroad;
6. Those to be elected by occupational groups.”
16th – Did you notice the mention of the Executive Yuan in the constitution of Taiwan? Odd, isn’t it?
The Executive Yuan was formed in 1928 in (mainland China) as the executive branch of the Chinese government. The Executive Yuan was dissolved in 1949 after the defeat of the KMT.
Yes, the name is still in use in Taiwan. In Taiwan, they will tell you the Executive Yuan was never dissolved. Indeed, it just had to change headquarters from a Chinese city in the mainland to another Chinese city located on a Chinese island named Taiwan. And the government of Taiwan calls itself Executive Yuan, no doubt about it.
But that’s exactly the point being made here! Taiwan is not Taiwanese! Taiwan is part of China, just as they prove when they claim to be the heirs of a former Chinese government!
Taiwan is ruled by eccentric brainwashed Chinese who believe the Executive Yuan was never dissolved and, therefore, ignore their true Chinese government in Beijing. Taiwan is governed by delusional Chinese losers who somehow believe to be living in the pre-1949 era, ruling the whole of China, including Tibet and Inner Mongolia, from their office (in No. 1, Zhongxiao E. Rd., Zhongzheng, Taipei, Taiwan, China) and, at the same time, claiming they “are not Chinese and Taiwan is not Chinese”!
17th – Why on Earth Taiwanese streets have names of Chinese cities (like Chongqing Road), names of Chinese citizens, and other references to that nation (China) the Taiwanese hate so much?
18TH – Why the Memorial Halls of 2 former presidents of China (Chiang Kai-Shek and Sun Yat-Sen in the capital of so-called Taiwan?
The first is understandable, it was created to honor the Chinese murderous traitor. But, for the second, there is no logical explanation! Why a Memorial Hall to a former Chinese President who was born in China and died in China long before the US Terror State’s decision to surround an island with its 7th fleet and brainwash its inhabitants to hate the rest of the country?
Finally, two interesting Taiwanese polemics that prove something wrong will eventually happen when one decides to make up absurdities such as an independent Taiwan.
19TH – Sun Yat-sen as the father of Taiwan:
Of course, a Chinese man who died in mainland China long before the proclamation of the Taiwanese nation could never have been a father of Taiwan. Yet, the Memorial Hall in his honor in Taipei is there for that purpose. To fix this nonsense, some triggered a polemic only possible among Taiwanese. Read it on Wikipedia:
“In November 2004, the ROC Ministry of Education proposed that Sun Yat-sen was not the father of Taiwan. Instead, Sun was a foreigner from mainland China. Taiwanese Education minister Tu Cheng-sheng and Examination Yuan member Lin Yu-ti, both of whom supported the proposal, had their portraits pelted with eggs in protest. At a Sun Yat-sen statue in Kaohsiung, a 70-year-old ROC retired soldier committed suicide as a way to protest the ministry proposal on the anniversary of Sun’s birthday 12 November.”
20TH – Nanjing as the capital of Taiwan:
Of course, a city in mainland China can’t possibly be the capital city of a rebellious Chinese island named Taiwan. Nonetheless, many Chinese in Taiwan see it as so because they are Chinese who still don’t get they lost the Chinese civil war in 1949.
Yes, Nanjing was their capital, but then the KMT lost the war and fled to Taiwan. But, how come some Taiwanese claim Taiwan as their capital? Understandably, if one is a Taiwanese Chinese living in the past, his capital is Nanjing. That’s absolutely fair. But that goes to show Taiwan is Chinese!
On this polemic, please read this rather hilarious article Schools to teach Nanjing is ROC capital: ministry, published by the Taipei Times.
***
In conclusion, the US rogue regime illegally intervened in the affairs of sovereign China, taking advantage of the fact communist China was exhausted and didn’t like war, unlike the US rogue state.
The fanatically anti-communist US rogue state took advantage of its immense firepower superiority to steal Taiwan from China, installing itself in that Chinese island and utterly brainwashing its Chinese inhabitants to hate China.
Many Westerners very often see themselves as the good guys, defensors of human rights and whatever they tergiversate about. Nonetheless, they are the ones invading defenseless nations like Iraq, imposing murderous embargoes in countries like Venezuela, inflicting genocidal coups like they recently did in Bolivia, bringing slavery back to countries like Libya, or beheading children for the fun of it as Australians proudly did in Afghanistan.
Yet, these very same Westerners persist in ignoring their own barbaric crimes and in accusing countries like Russia or China to be what they are not!
Peaceful China has all the right to use all the means of force necessary to regain control over its island of Taiwan filled up with US weapons, but it doesn’t do so!
How come Westerners call China imperialistic and aggressive when, besides invading no one, China doesn’t even fight to get its own island back?
Communist China wishes, and it will, in due time, regain control over its island, peacefully, unlike the terrorist members of NATO that invade countries to plunder their resources in the most illegal and barbaric manners.
As for the Taiwanese brainwashed with US-orchestrated secessionism, the solution is very simple: “keep the land, not the people,” to use a well-known Chinese sentence (留島不留人)! And no, this is not a cruel apology for genocide as some already claimed. It is not because the argument is not about genocide, it is about assuring Taiwan is Chinese territory and, if some Chinese don’t like the fact, they can always move out. They can go live in the US, the UK, France, Australia, or in any other country of their choice!
Of course, Taiwan is not China, as Chiang Kai-shek envisioned, in the sense of being the headquarters of his legitimate government for the whole of China. Taiwan is not China, Taiwan is part of China!

He is the translator of the Portuguese version of Andre Vltchek’s book Por Lula: O Brasil de Bolsonaro (For Lula: Bolsonaro’s Brazil) and has also collaborated with authors like Tim Anderson, Vanessa Beeley, Eva Bartlett, Stephen Gowans, and several others in the translation of their articles into Portuguese.
That’s a lot of tl;dr. Bravo, you’ve done your homework. Are we still going to ask the Taiwanese, who after all built up the place, what they want, or we anti-imperialists do that only when it suits us? And yes, I know not all of them want the same.

I suppose similar solutions for the Palestinians, the Donbass civilians, and the inhabitants of Chagos (now Diego Garcia) also suit you fine–a nice Stalinist in the making we have here, if I’m forgiven the ad hominem.
more stupidity—Palestine has zero equivalence to Taiwan….linguistically/religiously Sui genesis distinct Donbass also distinct Chagos entirely different—entire population displaced by USA—zero equivalence zero awareness of symbolic logic, fallacies
For me, the confirms “we’re with the local populations when it suits us, and only then do we call them ‘the people’; otherwise, sod them”–the way leftists have only ever been. Anyway, both sides have had their say, might as well let others make up their own minds.
Even China’s citizens are slaves afraid to question authority. It’s a sad life. We will liberate you.
Ahahahhahahahaha, what a joke!
Google what is blocked in China… or wait, sorry, you can’t do that because China has blocked that search.. your able to post on this site because you’re a paid Chinese tool
Keep your delusional paranoia. I screenshot your nonsense about China and showed it to Chinese friends. They can’t stop laughing out loud at the utterly nonsense utterly brainwashed beings like you say. Keep believe all the nonsense you just wrote, please. Deny yourself understanding and access to real China please. Keep yourself in the dark, your deserve it.
you lack freedom of religion and government and you are not a slave?
you lock up citizen journalists that report on covid, your 9-dashed line claiming other nations territory is a brazen insult to humanity, Xinjiang, Taiwan, Hong Kong. In America we able to discuss our Tiananmen Square’s
The big joke on America is that our former slaves now BUY THE HAIR YOU CUT OFF of your current slaves.
EDIT: If your friends had anything intelligent to say, you would have responded with more than a story.
Retarded Murican bullshit and lies as always, lying since 1776….
you pathetic, indoctrinated slave dare to talk about “FREEDOM”? There are more prisoners in the US than in China, 25% of all prisoners in the world are in American prisons! (concertation camps and torture dungeons like Guantanamo or Abu Ghraib not included). Real prisons not fake CNN crap about imaginary ‘genocide’. Everything your media say is total bullshit, starting with American intervention in Cuba 1898., Lusitania, Gulf of Tonkin, Panama, Kosovo, Saddams WMD, Syria, Libya, everything, every word from your media is 100% fakery – yet you morons believe them… you believe you are ‘free’ while obediently repeating their laughable Mickey Mouse mantras. And they laugh at your stupidity. “Party mouthpiece to the KKK”? Paranoid, schizophrenic crap that only murican slaves believe. I’ll laugh at you as well: hahaha.
Chinese claims to foreign territory? Your entire territory is STOLEN, entire America is a brazen insult to humanity, built on genocide, slavery and indian graveyards. Not to mention the Monroe doctrine, claiming your ‘divine right’ and yours only to meddle and plunder Latin America. Now you you plunder and terrorize the entire world, without any right at all.
“In America we able to discuss our Tiananmen Square’s” Bwahahaha how stupid you are. Yes, you can talk about Tiananmen, but you can NOT talk about your stolen election, otherwise you are instantly censored, banned, arrested… ask Assange about ‘free journalism’ you shameless and brainless PoS.
Then go kneel before LGBTBLM, your new masters along with Pentagon and Wall street, there is not trace of democracy in Murica.
I watched a movie last night. Nomadland. China censored the movie. Enjoy your censorship!! Yes we have free journalism, that’s how President’s get accused of shit. We criticize who we want, unlike Jack Ma who gets locked up tight like a Xinjiang prisoner only to reappear like a beat dog weeks later. Who are you to criticize others elections? You don’t have any! What a joke, you are completely lost and have no idea what democracy looks like.
Oh ya.. this is in today..
“First independent report into Xinjiang genocide allegations claims evidence of Beijing’s ‘intent to destroy’ Uyghur people”
Yes, I am a CPC paid troll, right. And you are a KKK paid troll, right?
false equivalence, lack of reasoning Donbass would not have separated except for russophobic ukrop nazi regime—untrue re China Taiwan you cannot comprehend imperialism—you would prefer south Vietnam be a US colony
No, gotta disagree. You’re claiming Taiwan is some sort of colonial state when colonialism/imperialism had nothing to do with it’s creation. The Taiwanese government was the government of China until the Communists took over the mainland, but despite that Taiwan successfully kept the PRC at bay with their own military – not with US fleets.
The PRC simply didn’t have the capability to invade them, even without US support for Taiwan. Today that fact is changing however, with or without US support, China will eventually have the means to return the the island to mainland rule (without going nuclear anyway).
lol, you certainly lacked of knowledge in taiwan, better re read history books post ww2 in taiwan and china so you can be enlightened
Sure, enlighten me then oh enlightened one.
Sinophobia is a damn paranoia that prevent people like you from learning historical facts.
Look at what A. B. Abrams , a US historian and author, has to say about this:
“Denial of the strategically critical territory to China, with the protection of Guomindang remnants becoming official U.S. policy from June 1950 as General MacArthur among other hardliners had long advocated, played well into the hands of more extremist anti-communist elements in the American leadership. PRC [Taiwan government of KMT] control of Taiwan would, according to prior statements by the general, allow American adversaries to deploy ten or twenty air groups, serve as a major forward operating base for submarines, and allow enemy forces to increase air efforts against American bases such as those on Okinawa by 100% as well as against Western-controlled shipping lanes. He further warned that Beijing could provide bases on the territory to the Soviet Red Army, compensating for the latter’s overall weakness at sea and complementing its already predominant power on land, stating: ‘Formosa [Taiwan] in the hands of the Communists can be compared to an unsinkable aircraft carrier and submarine tender ideally located to accomplish Soviet offensive strategy and at the same time checkmate counteroffensive operations by United States Forces based on Okinawa and the Philippines.’ He equated the importance of this asset as a base for aircraft alone to ‘ten or twenty aircraft carriers.’ Denial of this territory to the PRC was thus a major strategic benefit gained from the Korean War’s outbreak and a major loss for China and the communist world.”
BUT I KNOW, PEOPLE LIKE YOU DESPISE DOCUMENTS AND BOOKS PROVIDING HISTORICAL FACTS. YOU PREFER TO BE RACIST AND SPREAD SINOPHOBIC PROPAGANDA, AS IT MAKES YOUR SUPREMACIST MIND HAPPIER.
Wow, what a nutjob. Keep your paranoid pro-Communist interpretation of history if it comforts you, but literally non of MacArthur’s plans for Taiwan came true (thankfully). So your point is completely irrelevant.
China constantly invaded the various islands Taiwan controlled and tried many times to capture Kinmen Island in particular, which had nothing to do with the US. It was purely the PRC’s inability to conduct effective amphibious landings that thwarted them, not US fleets or nuclear threats.
Will you honestly tell the people of Taiwan they should choose to live under a Communist dictatorship instead of their own government? Would you? I doubt it.
I am not even a communist. And you are an utterly brainwashed being incapable of reason and of processing data.
Truth hurts the most. How about some arguments instead simple insults?
bacon schluhya no comprehend English
Arguments in the article!
China is not a nation for dummies.
So, you deny the fact the 7th fleet was sent there and that the US threatened to use it in case China would try to regain control over its territory? Utterly brainwashed and sinophobic Western parrot. Keep repeating the same old sickening lies if it pleases you. And play the moron role who comments without watching the videos nor opening the links providing all the necessary to disprove the simplistic old propaganda you just parroted once again. You and all Westerners lying about China based on propaganda and thin air, your are so ridiculous!
Congrats for common sense, a rare thing nowadays
CIA common sense
Taiwan is 100% fake, colonial, puppet state, solely existing because Washington DC wants that. Chiang Kai shek was already nothing but an american puppet during WW2, he tried to resist but his entire economy and military was completely depended on american support. His armies were organized, armed and even led by Americans, of course PRC could not invade Taiwan without fleet (Stalin btw didn’t give significant military support to Mao, he gave more tanks to NK than to China).
But the Yankees behaved the opposite when the states of the South wanted to separate from those of the North, one of the largest massacres in history followed, perhaps only inferior to the two world wars, but it is known that the Yankees have a short memory and they think that what is valid for them does not apply to others.
Chinese don’t understand the Western mind. Corsica is not really French, The Isle of Man is not really British. The island of Taiwan is headquarters of the Republic of China, occupied by a Chinese government and by Chinese people, we understand that. What the sub-humans in the Chinese Communist Party (50 years ago you were eating each other as cannibals) think about that is immaterial to how Westerners view the island of Formosa. Formosa is a beautiful island you can thank Western Civilization that Chinese people have any influence there.

Jingoist Pervert Slob ….writes racist CIA propaganda
Thats crap marxist propaganda as too often on this site. Ask Taiwanese if they want to become chinese province/ end.
1 – Your brain is too damaged to understand reason based on facts! There’s everything in the article to prove me right, you just don’t want to accept facts.
2 – You sinophobic being didn’t even read the article till the end, otherwise you wold have found the answer to your sick delusional hatred of China: “”As for the Taiwanese brainwashed with US-orchestrated secessionism, the solution is very simple: “keep the land, not the people,” to use a well-known Chinese sentence (留島不留人)! And no, this is not a cruel apology for genocide as some already claimed. It is not because the argument is not about genocide, it is about assuring Taiwan is Chinese territory and, if some Chinese don’t like the fact, they can always move out. They can go live in the US, the UK, France, Australia, or in any other country of their choice!”
3 – That is your argument: “crap marxist propaganda as too often on this site”? Crap is really offensive. I am NOT Marxist. This is my SECOND article, so not that often. And, of course, you provide ZERO ARGUMENTS, you vile offensive brainwashed thing.
中道, The Middle Way is fortunately what exists now. The “Hard Core” communists and capitalists both have their politicians to vent with, while in reality both nations act as one economic whole. US weapon sales to Taiwan will simply become another ‘window’ of the CPC’s into US weapon technology.
only a fanatical communist retard would defend a communist takeover of taiwan
CIA pay you with tacos?
I don’t give a fck about communism but Taiwan is Chinese, occupied by the U.S. army and their puppet fascist regime in 1949.
ccp is one of worst sect ( torture, human organs stealing, they also produced covid19 at P4 wuhan labs, genocide of Uygurs…)
CIA LSD very effective
None of that crap is true, all made up by Murican praopaganda machinery. They lied just as they lied since 1898. (“Spaniards are butchering poor little Cubans we must help them by conquering Cuba for ourselves”). Gulf of Tonkin, Kosovo, Sadam’s WMD, Syria, all lies, all bullshit. Especially ‘genocide’ of Uygurs. and they certainly did not release virus on their own country, if someone indeed created virUS it’s Murica.
new CIA LGBT LOVERS at SF:jullo and favorite dildo banqpervert
They are a chinese province, irrelevant what they want and who rules in Beijing, communists or emperors. Ask Virginia, South Carolina, Georgia and all other southern states if they want to be part of the Union, the last time they said NO – Lincoln, Grant and Sherman burned them all to the ground.
Here is the original article, UNREDACTED , without Southfront’s introduction and with the videos on their correct order: https://nomadicthoughts.blogs.sapo.pt/taiwan-is-chinese-for-dummies-by-luis-83202
I dont see a problem the way China is handling Hong Kong. If this is done the same way in Taiwan who could be against it? I think Taiwanese even would like it. Maintaining the good habits from West, exchanging the bad habits with Chinese positives.
Whatever, thanks for a splendid article.
China is not a Nation. Is a multicultural country with 40 official languages.
The winner only gets Long Island if they invade and take it. But given USSA nukes……that’s probably not going to happen. China should be grateful for the guns the USSA furnished the nationalists that had no bolts in them. The Communists won because the AngloZionist banking cartel wanted them to win. Besides if China is so very great why doesn’t Taiwan want to join China of its free will?
if USA so great why doesn’t canada want to join BLM republic after obliterating amerikans in 1812? your question is stupid
Unfortunatelly we will have no chance, all countries will join China. Time is on their side, and they don’t need to fire a single bullet to win this war. The same as English super rich Lords surendered their financial dominance to the Jewish elite, now time has come when Jewish banksters peacefully surrender their financial dominance to Chinese gov.
Time is on their side? Xi will not die without a worthy war to seal his legacy
They don’t need any war, their legacy is already unavoidable.
??? J-Lourds surrender ??? I would foresee quite a fight before that. Nukes involved. Give up the money powers? I think you are dreaming.
Yes, adults will refuse to nuke the world, whare you gonna do about it?
rehab failed; azov battalion has new affordable 8 week program will send bacon Gorlovka to meet Jesus
As I have said, Taiwan is not Taiwan but Formosa. Formosa is the mainland of the Heartland. Formosa is the central Government of whole China. Why? Because Formosa is the only free and democratic country in the East where all the suppressed Chinese people want to go second after America, because here is freedom.
Formosa allow its citizens to gay marriage. Formosa secure human rights and minority rights. Formosa’s Government priority is a green environment with clima change, a facebook and corona economy and own International stock market with green usury loans. Therefore America support Taiwan. Because Taiwan is an democratic Island in the middle of a sea of surrounding commie nations!
