The Turkish Armed Forces (TAF) are establishing a new military base in a high altitude area in the province of Hakkari, which borders Iraq, the Turkish state-run Anadolu Agency reported on March 28 citing security sources.
According to the report, the installation is being established in the framework of operations against the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK). It’s located at Balkaya Mountain at the altitude of 2,400 meters in the Semdinli district.
Earlier this month, Turkish top officials, including President Erdogan, threatened that the TAF may start a military operation against the PKK in northern Iraq in the near future.
The PKK is a Kurdish armed separatist group. It operates in northern Iraq, northern Syria and southern Turkey and is involved in a long-standing insurgency against the Turkish state. The PKK de-facto seeks to establish an independent Kurdish state, that will include large areas of Turkey, Syria and Iraq.
Just recently, the TAF captured the Syrian northern city of Afrin from the Kurdish People’s Protection Units (YPG), which Ankara describes as a PKK branch.
The world knows that there are hidden places of Washington and UK army in Syria and in Iraq where they have held Syrian and Iraqi civilians hostage. Washington and UK want to divide Syria, Iraq and Turkey to create another bigger ISIS state called Kurdistan because the previous ISIS state have failed.
The Turks are still trying to take credit for fighting the Kurds in Iraq, apparently.
The YBS who actually controls Sinjar are Ezidi people and not Kurdish people at all are part of the Iraqi Security Forces like the PMU are.
Turkey must ally with Syria, Iraq, Iran, Lebanon, Jordan and Egypt. Because it will be very difficult for lonely Turkey to eliminate PKK and Israel from the region for the prosperity and development of the region.

Cannot work out where Turkey are going, Independent, with so much to lose, or just helping to set the stage for another structure within the ME. That suits themselves, but, also working amicably with others.

The PKK had consented to a comprehensive peace agreement with Turkey a few years ago and hasn’t been calling for an independent state for a long time. Rather for more autonomy.
