Early on August 24, the Turkish Air Force carried out airstrikes on positions of the Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) in the Zap region in northern Iraqi, the Turkish military said in a statement. According to the statement, the airstrikes neutralized 3 PKK members.
Turkish forces are actively carrying operations against the PKK in southern Turkey and northern Iraq aiming to undermine the group’s capabilities of carrying out attacks against targets inside Turkey.
