In its daily briefing on August 1, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced the destruction of two more HIMARS MRLS and a Harpoon launcher in Ukraine.
The HIMARS supplied from the United States were destroyed as a result of the strike on the Ukrainian Energy Machines plant in Kharkiv. 53 Ukrainian servicemen and foreign mercenaries were also killed.
A Harpoon launcher was destroyed as a result of a missile strike near the town of Velyky Dalnik in the Odessa region.
The Russian Aerospace Forces also struck the temporary deployment point of the 92nd Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the Kharkiv outskirts. Up to 200 Ukrainian fighters were destroyed.

Earlier, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that from July 5 to July 20, four HIMARS were destroyed by Russian forces in Ukraine.
The first two HIMARS launchers were destroyed on July 6. LINK On July 17, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced that it had destroyed the third HIMARS multiple rocket-launching system and a transport-loading vehicle in Ukraine. LINK According to the Russian military, the fourth launcher was hit on the eastern outskirts of Konstantinovka in the DPR.
On July 24, the Ministry of Defense announced that the military destroyed a warehouse with more than 100 missiles for the American HIMARS multiple rocket launcher systems in the Dnipropetrovsk region of Ukraine. The attack was carried out near the village of Lyubimovka. Up to 120 soldiers who were guarding the warehouse were killed, as well as “foreign mercenaries and technical specialists,” the ministry said in a statement.
Thus, the number of destroyed US-HIMARS in Ukraine reached 6 systems.
On July 25, the US Defense Department has announced another package of security assistance for Ukraine, which included four additional HIMARS. The total number of systems delivered to Ukraine has reached 16.

As for the Harpoon missiles and launchers, Ukraine received an unknown number of these weapons from Denmark and the US between May and June. During the same period, it was reported that the Netherlands and the UK will supply addition missiles.
The Russian military has already destroyed some of Ukraine’s newly-acquired Harpoon missiles and launchers. On July 8, a pinpoint missile strike on Odessa wiped out two Harpoon missile launchers. Later on July 16, a another missile strike on Odessa destroyed a large warehouse where Harpoon missiles were stored. Another Harpoon anti-ship missile launcher was destroyed on July 20. The July 23 missile strike on the port of Odessa destroyed a warehouse where Harpoon anti-ship missiles, recently supplied by the US, were stored.

The myth of the HIMARS ‘game changer’ has been shattered in Ukraine according to German military : American-supplied rocket system is ineffective, temperamental and less than accurate, also it won’t bring “victory” to Ukraine whose battered forces are facing low morale, desertions and charges of colluding with Russians. The conflict in Ukraine is unlike any experienced in modern times as all of NATO and even vassal states as far as Australia are involved, requiring Russian military leaders to adapt operational theory as defined by doctrine to the demanding realities of the eastern Ukrainian front. The fact that approximately 170,000 Russian forces with a combat component of 120,000 can impose their will on over 700,000 AFU Nazis, NATO advisers and up to 7,000 foreign terrorists , while achieving favorable casualty ratios that now decisively favor the Red Army and speaks to their complete dominance of the battlefield, despite ober $200 billion in western weaponry, training and even manpower support.
At the end of the day, 60 HIMARS – and other so-called “most advanced Western weapons” – is but a tool wielded by the same actor who has been systematically defeated by the Russian military. This will not change, whether Ukraine employs four, eight, 12… or even 60 or even 600 HIMARS systems.
First and foremost, the mere survivability of the HIMARS is a critical factor – Russia excels at destroying Western-provided weaponry. The HIMARS footprint is a large one, with dozens of trucks needed to carry the ammunition used by the launcher. Vehicles need fuel, and ammunition needs protective storage – as do the launchers. This considerable footprint creates a signature which is detectable by any capable intelligence service – and the Russians have capable intelligence services. Indeed, the irony is that the larger the number of HIMARS brought into service by Ukraine, the greater the likelihood of detection and interdiction (i.e. destruction) by Russia. The other critical factor is the collaboration of many Orthodox Slavic Soviet era Ukrainian officers and even younger men with their Russian kin, who have been passing on the exact location, storage warehouses and transportation conduits. Ukraine has been unable to even deploy a combat brigade for offensive action and is unlikely to do so in the future as its military capability and infrastructure are being ground to pieces by Russian firepower, highly motivated manpower and sheer dint of size and capability.

Got a suggestion for Russian MoD: Keep a couple of strike aircraft armed with Kh101 missiles in the air 24/7 to cover the expanse of Eastern Ukraine at any given moment (5000km range missile is perfect for the job). Keep UAVs in the air 24/7 for patrols. Any HIMARS salvo will be identified in real time and that launcher neutralized. Two weeks should be enough to hunt down all 14 remaining launchers (4 additional received by Kiev today).

Russian combat engineers have built two pontoon bridges that can handle 70 ton vehicles right upstream from the slightly damaged bridge. It can still take cars and small trucks as the structure is intact and Russians have covered up the holes with steel plates. The Ukis and their NATO advisers are dumber than hell. This conflict is exposing very serious deficiencies in NATO at all levels. The Russians military will hone its combat capabilities to excellence.

The war is putting NATO at a long term strategic disadvantage to Russia by forcing it to expose its most sensitive weapons to Russia in a scenario where they can be successfully exploited or analysed. By wasting its capabilities in an unnecessary conflict, the US is lowering its defenses and will be more at risk in conflicts that could actually be important to US national security.
