U.S. To End Its Aerial Operations Against ISIS In Syria After Troops Withdrawal: Report

(May 3, 2018) An F/A-18F Super Hornet launches from the flight deck of the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Harry S. Truman (CVN 75) in support of Operation Inherent Resolve, May 3, 2018.

The upcoming withdrawal of U.S. forces from Syria will mark the end of the Washington’s aerial operations against ISIS in the war torn country, U.S. officials told the Reuters news agency on December 20.

According to the officials, the end of the air campaign against ISIS would be linked to the withdrawal of the U.S. forces. Reuters said that one of the official noted that a final decision had not yet been made and did not rule out some kind of support for “partners and allies.”

“As long as there are U.S. troops on the ground we will conduct air and artillery strikes in support of our forces. We will not speculate on future operations,” U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) said in a statement responding to Reuters.

U.S. President Donald Trump had said that the U.S. defeated ISIS in Syria and that this was the only reason for deploying forces there. However, the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), which controls northeastern Syria, rejected Trump’s claims in a recent statement and said that the battle against terrorism is still ongoing.

According to Airwars, a monitoring group following actions of the US Air Force, more than 95% of the US-led coalition airstrikes against ISIS in Syria were carried out by American warplanes. The end of this air cover is another reason, which could push the SDF towards a deal with Russia and the Damascus.

Pity that my page don’t has that name, only ‘This user is blocked’, pity that the US are on withdrawal, pity that the Turks will have no chance, pity that Syria will not loose even an single inch of it’s territory.

Hey, where are the guys now of the inevitable partition for sure? In the madhouse?

Brother Ma

Who said partition wont happen? Turks still in Afrin and Idlib , other Nato still in NESyria.

jorge

Say the Syrians. The ‘still in’ don’t has great futur, so, we don’t need to waste lond time discussing this, because in the near futur we will have the answer. Anyway, it seems you are a defender of a ‘could be partition’, not a partisan of an ‘inevitable partition for sure’, and I was calling for these ones, but looks like they can’t answer from their grandious bastion, pardon, fron their madhouse..

Brother Ma

No of course not. I want Syria to be free and unified.

jorge

Okay Brother, a good Christmas to you.

Brother Ma

Yes. To you and Yours as well. Feliz navidad? Did I say it right? Haha

jorge

It’s more Feliz Natal. The difference was expressed, for example, here, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_Aljubarrota

Brother Ma

Thanks Hermano. No probs . I will read it.

jorge

Well, the Castilians are indeed ‘our brothers’, or half brothers, because our real brothers are the Gallegos, but there is a portuguese proverb, ‘from Spain, neither good wind nor wedding’, and that battle is a story of a failed wedding.

Keep your eyes above your waistline sunshine.

But the aerial campaign was so effective! In Hajin! We must have killed AT LEAST one head-chopper (give or take) per JDAM. Sixteen more years and we would have had the entire Syrian lower Euphrates valley cleared out.

Garga

It’s nice to see some people run around and don’t know what to do like a bunch of headless chickens (yes I know, sometimes I scare myself but I say it’s justified this time!).

I’ll believe it when I see it, but still. Now let’s hear from Israeli side: Funny!

The Americans will kill Trump, America can’t live without killing and oppressing people.

FlorianGeyer

The politically correct word for ‘killing’ is now ‘neutralising’ Sinbad. Its so much more acceptable. :)

jorge

It looks like a part of the very rich yankees is neutralising the other. Lets wait and see who is neutralised and who are the neutralisers.

FlorianGeyer

Thus far I have a neutral opinion of the outcome in the verbal and legal war between the two Zionist oligarch camps of the US :)

Willing Conscience (The Truths

– “Reuters said that one of the official noted that a final decision had not yet been made and did not rule out some kind of support for “partners and allies”. French manning the old US OB posts would constitute partners and allies wouldn’t they.

verner

anything to keep turkey in nato and after all, focus has moved and Syria just isn’t of great importance no more and moreover, why hang around and be beaten by the russkies time and time again. better be off for another likely hotspot, like israel’s planned gas pipeline to greece/italy/europe. anything to stop the ever evil russkies, now that israel no longer is in Russia’s good book.
