Russian units continue offensive operations, achieving tactical successes in several directions. In Konstantinovka, a “cauldron” has been formed in the southwestern part of the city. The encirclement was completed when the Nikolaevsky and Nakhalovka districts were taken, as well as the Roskoshnoe locality on the western flank. In the Sumy region, the “North” assault groups have advanced on dozens of sectors and delivered artillery strikes to Ukrainian unit positions. In the Kharkiv region, the bridgehead south of the Volchya River is expanding after the capture of Okhrimovka, creating conditions for a further advance towards Bely Kolodez. In the Pokrovsk area, Russian forces are encircling Shevchenko and advancing toward Dobropolye. Diplomatically, Hungarian Prime Minister Péter Magyar reported that the date and location of his meeting with Volodymyr Zelenskyy have not yet been agreed upon, but preparations are ongoing.

Konstantinovka direction

In the direction of Konstantinovka, Russian assault units have achieved significant successes within the city limits, creating a “cauldron” in the southwestern part of the city. On the western flank of this area, Roskoshnoe was taken, while fighting continued in the neighboring area of Dolgaya Balka.

Within the city, Russian troops are operating confidently in the southwest, which is cut off by the Krivoy Torets River. Another part of the industrial zone in the center and the high-rise buildings on the western outskirts have been cleared of Ukrainian forces. Northwest of the city, Russian assault groups have fully captured the Nikolaevsky and Nakhalovka districts, completing the encirclement.

Reports have come in from the western flank about the locality of Roskoshnoe coming under Russian control. In the neighboring village of Dolgaya Balka, there is a parity situation: small groups of Russian and Ukrainian units are present. However, after the success at Roskoshnoe, the tactical position of Russian forces has improved.

Sumy direction

Assault groups from the “North” military group continue to advance deeper into the Sumy region. In the Shostka district, Russian assault forces are engaged in combat in Bachevsk and the surrounding area. In the Sumy district, Russian units advanced into twenty-one sectors, up to 700 meters deep. Firefights continue in Ivolzhanskoye, Pisarevka, Novaya Sech, and the surrounding areas.

In the Krasnopolie district, fighting continues unabated in forest areas near Mikhaylovka and along railway lines leading to the district center. Assault groups have advanced up to 800 meters here. Additionally, units of the “North” group delivered rocket strikes on the 119th Separate Territorial Defense Brigade of Ukrainian forces in the Krasnopolie area.

Kharkiv direction

Units of the “North” grouping are expanding the security zone in the Kharkiv region. Assault groups are carrying out offensive operations towards the major logistics center of Ukrainian forces in Kazachya Lopan. There is ongoing fighting on the northern outskirts of the area, where three battle groups of the Ukrainian 58th Separate Motorized Infantry Brigade have abandoned their positions.

In the Volchansk sector, the “North” grouping’s assault units have advanced eleven segments, up to 400 meters deep. There are firefights in the villages of Okhrimovka and Losevka, as well as in the forests of the Volchansk district. Radiation, chemical, and biological defense units delivered TOS strikes again on the positions of the 127th separate territorial motorized rifle brigade of the Ukrainian forces in the Izbitskoye area.

In the Velikiy Burluk sector, Russian assault groups are engaged in combat in the forests near Petro-Ivanovka. Earlier reports indicated the successful advance of the “North” group south of the Volchya River and along the Shesterovka–Vilcha line. There, Russian units captured “pockets” between previously captured towns. The advance has now continued, and the bridgehead south of the Volchya River is gradually expanding. The Russian Ministry of Defense announced the capture of Okhrimovka. Fighting there continued for several weeks after the neighboring towns of Chaykovka and Volokhovka were taken. Frequent counterattacks by Ukrainian units were unable to hold this locality, and Russian forces have now expanded a wide, albeit still shallow, bridgehead south of the river. As the bridgehead is strengthened, opportunities will arise to advance towards Bely Kolodez. Several large ravines lead to this location, where Ukrainian units will likely attempt to organize a defense.

In the eastern sector, between Okhrimovka and Budarki, several localities on both banks of the Volchya River remain to be captured in order to form a final cordon that will prevent infiltration by small groups across the border.

Pokrovsk direction

In the direction of Pokrovsk, Russian forces have advanced beyond Novoaleksandrovka, encircling Shevchenko from the southwest and west. They have also advanced north of Novoaleksandrovka towards Dobropolye.

To the west, fighting continues in Mirnoye. Ukrainian units are taking cover in green spaces and forest belts near the river and in the industrial zone on the northwestern outskirts. In the Kotlino area, Ukrainian forces continue to attempt counterattacks with small groups in the industrial zone and near the mine. Russian unmanned aerial vehicle operators promptly detect and destroy the Ukrainian groups sent in to consolidate and set up observation posts.

Conclusion

In the directions of Konstantinovka, Sumy, Kharkiv, and Pokrovsk, Russian units are systematically expanding their control zones and imposing unfavorable defensive conditions on the Ukrainian side. In Konstantinovka, the southwestern part of the city has effectively been cut off, and the clearance of encircled groups is underway. The tactical position near Dolgaya Balka has improved in the west. In the Sumy region, the offensive is accompanied by artillery strikes and consolidation along key transportation routes. In the Kharkiv sector, Okhrimovka has been captured by Russian forces, and the bridgehead south of the Volchya River has expanded. This threatens the defense in the Burluk sector. In the Pokrovsk area, Russian forces are encircling Shevchenko and advancing on the defenses near Mirnoye and Kotlino, exploiting their superiority in unmanned aviation.

In terms of foreign policy, attempts to organize dialogue at the highest level continue. Hungarian Prime Minister Péter Magyar stated that the venue and time of his meeting with Volodymyr Zelenskyy have not yet been determined. He said that preparations for the Ukrainian-Hungarian summit are underway and that the public will be informed as soon as there is progress or an agreement is reached. Magyar emphasized that he insists on including Berehove (Beregszász) in the agenda. “As soon as the final date and venue are set, we will inform you accordingly,” Magyar said at a government briefing. It was previously reported that Zelensky’s visit to Budapest was planned for June 8, but an agreement could not be reached, so the meeting was postponed.

Peter Jennings

with some nato countries dreaming of putting their troops permanently in ukraine, president putin might not have an option but to take the whole of ukraine just to be on the safe side. russia will not be safe if nato forever have their troops on the border waiting for opportunities to attack. at this point in time i’m pretty sure that most of the ukrainian population wouldn’t care if the russian admin took over things for a while.

Peter Jennings

it’s obvious that nato can no longer protect its war pigs and quislings abroad. perhaps the ukrainian admin, way back when there was a democracy, accepted the wrong protection from the wrong people.

Malcolm Z

nato dont care if russia takes konstantinivka or slavianks and kramatorts, the main goal of nato is to inflict hundred of thousands of russian casualties and the destruction of its energy, industrial and military complex, and they are on the way due the incompetence of russian generals and the weakness of putin who are more worry about the business and profits of the oligarchy in western countries.

the narrative

keeping russian eyes away from other world affairs may be the reason ? the khazars historically hate russia and persia for removing them from power. coincidence ?

the narrative

ukraine is running out of men. women will be next. when the battlefield is cleared of previously deemed expendable populations will defeat ever be admitted ?

European demographer

quarter by quarter…. i’m guessing that means that every time the eu puts another quarter into the zelensky toy soldier’s slot, it dances less and less.
