On September 29, the Russian military thwarted a large-scale Ukrainian attack with suicide drone that targeted the Kaluga and Kursk regions.
The Russian Ministry of Defense said in a statement that a total of 11 drones were shot down by air defenses over the two regions in the early morning hours.
“The Kiev regime’s attempted terrorist attack on facilities on the Russian Federation’s territory involving fixed-wing drones was foiled. On-duty air defense units destroyed 11 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles: one above the Kaluga Region and ten above the Kursk region,” the ministry said.
The attack didn’t result in any casualties. Nevertheless, material losses were reported in Kursk. Regional governor Roman Starovoyt dropped two explosive devices on a substation causing a fire and a blackout that affected five settlements and a hospital.
A few hours after the attack on Kaluga and Kursk, the Russian MoD announced that another suicide drone was shot down over the Belogrod region. No casualties or material losses were reported by the ministry.
The Kiev regime likely ordered the last drone attacks on Russian territory to distract the Russian military as its forces attempt to advance.
Around the same time as the attacks, the Russian military foiled an attempt by Kiev forces to cross the Dnieper River near Antonovsky Island, a regional emergency official told reporters.
“Units from Battlegroup Dnepr rained fire down on the Ukrainian Armed Forces to prevent them from crossing the Dnieper River near Antonovsky Island, destroying four boats and killing up to 20 Ukrainian troops. [Additionally, a] D-30 howitzer with ammunition [was destroyed]; five Ukrainian troops were killed and another three suffered various wounds,” the unnamed official specified.
The official added that a Ukrainian sabotage and reconnaissance group was also wiped out when preparing to cross the Dnieper near the village of Nikolayevka.
“After detecting preparations by a four-member Ukrainian sabotage and reconnaissance group to stage an assault crossing of the Dnieper River, Battlegroup Dnepr units active in the Kakhovka area opened up a barrage of fire on the group, completely wiping it out,” he said.
A Ukrainian position was also destroyed in the vicinity of the island, resulting in seven Ukrainian troops killed and another four wounded, according to the official.
Ukrainian drone and missile attacks on Russian territory will likely increase in upcoming weeks as worsening weather conditions will hinder operations on the front. The Kiev regime views such attacks as a way to compensate for the failure of its counteroffensive.
MORE ON THIS TOPIC:
i will give those ukrainians one thing, they don’t know when they are beaten, time to turn the pain dial up.
the corrupt z puppet regime is receiving a huge rake off from all us/nato arms and aid, why would they give up such a cash cow because a few more conscripts have been killed. they couldn’t care less about ukrainian citizens.
a more pertinent question is why rus is allowing these attacks to happen some 19 months into the smo? it should have taken all east ukraine and odessa by this point.
the russians play chess and to play chess you need patience.
tell the mothers of the dead and injured kids in donbass, zaporozhye and kherson who put their trust in rus to end nazi shelling; and also the poor citizens of the rus border regions. the west allows p this clichéd ‘chess master’ label quite happily; perhaps another psy-op to buy nato time to bring in weapons and move troops? it worked with the minsk accords didn’t it, or were 14,000 dead from 2014 just collateral pawns to the grand master?
thats an easy conclusion to come to, but the thing is thats its not about territory, russia is in ukraines house fucking its wife and ukraine cant do anything about it, thats how power works. secondly, why waste manpower if all you have to do is wait for trump to win 2024 and switch the war off?
trump is just another rothschild jew. quit your wishful thinking.
of course it’s about territory, arguably that’s all the smo was ever about until it stalled. to secure all new pro-rus regions required territory up to and beyond the dnieper. to secure crimea required dominance of the black sea coast to odessa.
all this was clear in month 1, with many rus generals still wanting to also take kiev.
alas higher ideals of the tripartite ‘great north’ guide p, as admitted yesterday in rt by the ‘grey cardinal’.
ps: trump will do nothing, he never has except maybe finding ways of stealing ‘protected land’ for more golf courses (scotland) in his business affairs and oil from syria as potus – among other scams.
switch the war off with ukraine but turn it on with iran or china, don’t put your faith in trump.
tieto útoky budú pokračovať až do chvíle kým ruské vojská nevytlačia banderovské fašistické svine aspoň cca 50 km smerom na západ!!! potom sa to stabilizuje, lebo pvo bude mať viac času na obranu.
