Apparently, the Kiev regime’s plans to massively increase conscription are being “successful”. In a recent statement, Ukrainian president Vladimir Zelensky presented the updated troops figures, showing a significant increase in the number of soldiers. These measures, however, tend to have little effect on the battlefield, in addition to further eroding Ukrainian society.
Zelensky stated that there are currently around 880,000 troops serving in the Ukrainian armed forces. The number shows an apparent success in recruitment campaigns since the beginning of hostilities with Russia, as in February 2022 Kiev had only 260,000 soldiers. Also, more recently, Kiev has been intensely engaged in trying to recruit new people, as heavy losses on the front lines forced the country to look for new troops to replace those who have been neutralized.
The current number, which is close to 900,000 troops, indicates that Kiev is in some way “progressing” in its plan to form an army of one million people. This ambition had already been previously presented by both Zelensky and other Ukrainian officials amid discussions about what measures to take in order to alleviate the negative effects of military losses. The incessant demand for new recruits has been a problem as virtually all male youth of military age have already been mobilized with many dying or being injured, leaving recruitment options such as women, elderly, teenagers and people with health problems.
However, even this does not seem enough to stop Ukrainian plans. Instead of admitting the impossibility of continuing to fight, the regime decided to simply launch a compulsory enlistment campaign, putting at risk the lives of people who in theory should be protected by the army itself. To make matters worse, most of these people are being forced to fight.
There is currently a major national crisis in Ukraine, mainly on the psychological factor, with people disbelieving in the possibility of a “victory” against Russia and then trying to evade military service – which is the natural result of the tiredness after two years of intense hostilities and constant losses. However, instead of alleviating the suffering of its people and cooperating to achieve peace, the neo-Nazi regime forces its citizens to go to the battlefield, creating endless terror for the Ukrainians themselves.
The main problem with this kind of practice, however, is that it has null effects on the battlefield. These new recruits are usually the first to die during clashes. They are people without any type of military training, unable to fight. Many of them do not even see infantry confrontation situations, being eliminated by Russian artillery before reaching the front lines. The more Kiev recruits, the more Ukrainians die without any military gain being achieved by the regime – creating a true “meat grinder”.
Indeed, Ukraine is in a stalemate. The country is unable to continue fighting, but it is forced to do so by its Western “partners”. The only “alternative” is to continue recruiting until reaching “the last Ukrainian”. As already clarified by experts, there is no possibility of reversing the military scenario with this recruitment process – not only because the new soldiers are inexperienced and incapable to face intense combat, but also because Ukraine does not have the capacity to replace troops in the long term. No matter how much Kiev continues to recruit, at some point the country’s demographic situation will make it impossible to carry out new mobilizations, while, on the other hand, the Russians continue to use only a small capacity of their real combat potential.
It is necessary to remember that between 6.5 million and 7.5 million Ukrainian citizens have already left the country since the launch of the special military operation, being currently refugees abroad. Obviously, many of these refugees are young Ukrainian men of military age who have decided not to participate in the war. The regime has been trying unsuccessfully to bring these expatriates back to Ukraine to recruit them, but this is a difficult, if not almost impossible task. Countries hosting Ukrainians cannot simply send them back to Ukraine, as these citizens are protected by international law as refugees. The most that Ukraine can do is prevent new migratory flows from occurring, but with its current demographic numbers it will be impossible to continue fighting in the long term.
Actually, by announcing the “success” of his recruitment campaign, Zelensky is only improving his own image, trying to show Ukrainian officials and Western public opinion that the country’s catastrophic situation is somehow “under control”. But that is not true. The country remains in a deep social crisis and facing imminent military defeat. Merely quantitative data are not capable of reflecting the reality of the battlefield.
In the future, Ukrainian decision-makers will understand that expanding the army was both a strategic and humanitarian mistake, since, in addition to not generating positive military effects, it will cause an unprecedented human and social cost, severely harming post-war Ukraine.

gonna be a turkey shoot. more rich targets. it took russia about 2 years to put about a million out of commission. so it would take about another 2 years to finish them off.
in this situation, there is only one solution, namely for the russians to liquidate these new untrained recruits, if the ukrainians do not surrender and stop fighting. there is also the possibility that the ukrainian troops revolt and impose on their superiors, who push them to unnecessary death, and then start a civil war, a new maidan

dunno, seems russian special forces are regularly engaged in operations across large parts of the fronts and border regions. the avdeevka operation was conducted and succeeded because of intelligence and special forces. likewise operations in the north are also done with special forces, delving deep into ukraine on recon missions, lots of footage now of that.

this article is the same fairy tale we have been hearing for 2 years. because 800,000 is a large army and even more so with the support of the west. the west is very happy to maintain this war of frozen fronts, long duration and mutual destruction. now new boeing ground-to-ground bombs are coming, with a range of 150 km and great precision. and the wax doll continues without blinking.
they are finished, they are just cannon fodder and fresh meat prepaired to go to a slaughter house. ukraine should abandon the military path and use diplomacy to try to achieve a cease fire and accept russia proposal to become a demilitarized zone.
