On March 16, the US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) mostly consisting of the People’s Protection Units (YPG) captured the villages of Hamad Assaf and al-Kulayb as well as the al-Kulayb Grain Silos east of the ISIS-held city of Raqqah.
A fighting between SDF units and ISIS terrorists was also reported in the area of Judayat Khabur.
