Poland continues escalating the situation on the Belarusian border. On August 5, Polish Deputy Interior Minister Pavel Jablonsky claimed that the fighters of the Wagner Group had tried to enter Poland from Belarus.
According to the Polish official, Warsaw is considering various steps, including the complete closure of the border, in response to the threat from Belarus, which “is quite real.” Jablonsky assured the public that Warsaw expects new hostile attempts to violate its border, possibly by air. The Polish authorities are sending “more and more” troops to the border area. Thus, Warsaw tries its best to present its military manoeuvres and escalation on the NATO border with Belarus as some necessary defensive measures.
“We are considering any steps that will be necessary to protect our territory, our citizens, including the complete isolation of Belarus, including the complete closure of the border,” Jablonsky said.
In his turn, Polish President Andrzej Duda concluded that “the movements of the Wagner group in Russia were a clear plan to relocate the most effective units to Belarus in order to keep Poland on edge and not allow Warsaw to lead troops to Ukraine”. He said that the actions of the Wagner Group are led by the Kremlin.
At the end of July, Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki declared that more than a hundred fighters of the Wagner Group had moved to the Polish border in Belarus. LINK
“No detachments of the Wagner PMCs of a hundred people have been moved here. And if they moved, it was only in order to transfer combat experience to the brigades that are concentrated in Brest and Grodno,” Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko replied.
In early August, Warsaw accused two Belarusian helicopters of violating Polish airspace. Minsk also rejected this claim.
The Kremlin commented on the Polish hysteria, claiming that the Polish authorities are escalating the situation. Commenting on Warsaw’s claims on the movement of Wagner fighter, the press secretary of the President of Russia noted that this is happening on the territory of Belarus, which is a sovereign state.

these bought off polish politicians are really wanting to steal the western part of ukraine with their dreams of empire. the loudest pro war politicians should be strapped onto the front of each vehicle in every military group on the the border entry point & be left there with food and water and a bag to defecate into until the battle begins. if the war doesn’t start for months, they will happily serve their country strapped onto the vehicles living their lives in service to war.
