On March 18, the Abkhazian Network News Agency (ANNA) released photos showing the wreckage of a Turkish unmanned combat aerial vehicle (UCAV) that was shot down by the Syrian Arab Air Defense Forces (SyAADF) over southeast Idlib last month.
The wreckage was found near Saraqib city, 100 meters away from the area where Russian pilot Maj. Roman Filipov lost his life on February 3 of 2018. The pilot blew himself up with a grenade after resisting radical militants, who attempted to capture him. The militants had shot down Filiposv’s warplane, a Su-25, with a missile.

The downed Turkish UCAV was a Bayraktar TB2. UCAVs of this type provided militants in Greater Idlib with air support during the recent confrontation, inflicting heavy losses on the Syrian Arab Army (SAA).
Despite being effective, many Bayraktar TB2s and even more advanced ANKA UCAVs were shot down by the SyAADF. The total number of downed Turkish drones is reportedly between 13 and 20.
Turkey didn’t admit all of its losses in Greater Idlib. Ankara even carried out a smear campaign against Syria’s Russian-made air-defense systems.

Erdogan’s family does have a drone manufacturing company, the are probably pumping out a 100 a day. Intel that risks no human life. Iran are the drone masters, even if the SAA just had B grade, risking no revelations of up to date tech., they can save Syria countless lives.
