On August 30, the Kurdish People’s Protection Units (YPG) announced in an official statement that its cells carried out a series of special operations against the Turkish-backed Free Syrian Army (FSA) in the northern area of Afrin overnight on August 29.
In details, members of the YPG stormed a headquarters of the Turkish-backed Hamza Division in the village of Ba’iyah and killed ten fighters of the group. Hours later, the YPG destroyed three vehicles of Turkish-backed forces around the same village with IEDs killing eight other fighters and a commander named “Khalid al-Abid.”
Following these attacks, the Turkish military and its proxies, backed by unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), carried out a security operation around Ba’iyah. The YPG said in its official statement that the operation was fruitless.
The YPG and other Kurdish forces shifted their strategy from a direct confrontation to a guerrilla tactic after the fall of the city of Afrin to the Turkish military earlier this year. However, this new strategy is yet to cause any major damage to the Turkish military and its proxies.

Kurds trying to re-get a grasp of ”Syrian land” by guerilla tactics – what a lame cause to fight for only if it weren’t in their Zio-US masters’ service.
