97 since they attacked gaza. 425 in the initial palestinian attack, plus of course the israeli soldiers captured as pows by the palestinian forces. you would expect there to be about 10 times as many wounded, since evacuation and medical care is strong in israel, hiwever the israelis claim some 6000 wounded in their gaza attack. this would suggest about 600 israelis killed by the palestinian forces. both numbers are if course understatements and the actual casualties are probably much higher.
