Russian Army Foils Three Attacks With Unnamed Semi-Submersible Boats On Crimean Bridge (Video)

The Russian military foiled three attempts by Kiev forces to target the Crimean Bridge with unnamed semi-submersible suicide boats.

In a statement, the Russian Ministry of Defense, said the first suicide boat was detected and destroyed in the Black Sea late on September 1.

“At 11:15 p.m. Moscow time on September 1, the Kiev regime attempted a terrorist strike on the Crimean Bridge with a semi-submersible uncrewed surface vessel. The Ukrainian sea drone was timely detected and destroyed in the waters of the Black Sea,” the statement reads.

The second boat was detected and destroyed at 02:10 a.m. on September 2, according to a later statement by the ministry. In a separate statement, the ministry said that the third and final boat was destroyed at about 02:20 a.m. in the Black Sea.

All traffic on the Crimean Bridge was briefly stopped as a precaution after the first attack attempt, and restored after 03:00 a.m. The attack attempts didn’t result in any casualties or material losses, according to preliminary information.

The new attempts to attack the Crimean Bridge coincided with a drone attack on the Belgorod region. The Russian MoD said that a Ukrainian suicide drone was shot down by air defenses over the region at 11:00 p.m on Septmber 1.

The next day, another attempt to attack Belgorod with drones was foiled by Russian air defenses. The ministry said that two drones were intercepted over the region.

The Kiev regime has been attempting to destroy the Crimean Bridge since the start of the Russian special military operation. The Security Service of Ukraine also claimed responsibility for the truck bomb attack on the Crimean Bridge in October of last year, which killed three civilians and significantly damaged the structure.

Last July, an unnamed suicided boat damaged a span of the Crimean Bridge, killing two civilians and injuring their 14-year-old daughter. In August, Kiev officially claimed responsibility the attack and even provided CNN with never-before-seen footage showing a first-person view from the drone.

Similarly, Kiev stepped up attacks with suicide drones on Belgorod, Moscow and other regions in central Russia in recent months. However, these attacks have been mostly ineffective.

The recent increase in attacks on Russian territory appears to be an attempt by Kiev to deflect public attention from its counteroffensive, which appears to be failing. The counteroffensive is about to enter its thirteenth week. Still, Kiev forces are yet to break through Russian defenses in any direction.

and let’s not forget the massive cluster bomb attacks on donetsk, as reported in sputnik yesterday. more du on its way from the usa as well. so remind me again what this smo was supposed to achieve, or is it now just about defending ptn’s holiday home in crimea (and z’s too…)? with friends like pres ptn donbass is well and truly screwed.

Darius

it’s a hard fight , i remember a statement of putin ca. 2008-2010 , as he told there would be much trouble with ukraine. as from 2014 nobody said there would be simple solutions. also nobody from the russian leadership claimed seriously , they would manage the things easy.

Darius

some propaganda of course exaggerated the russian possibilities to keep the spirit high but seriously they rather prepared the people for a hard fight , not for an easy walk to get rid off of nato from the western borders of russia. i don’t know if there was a better strategy to solve the nato/ukraine threat against russia, maybe yes but probably no.

Darius

if you watch the whole development of the russian state after the dissolution of the sovjet union , it seems to me still a miracle they still exist and eurasia is still not divided in 1000 pieces as slaves to the anglo saxon empire. (there were allready maps which showed these pieces) so if russia survives the actual crisis and gets some sustainable guaranties from nato which would no more expand eastwards , it will be in this whole context a great victory for russia and for putin.

Darius

for some people sure disappointing and too modest , but anything more would be not realistic and not really worth to sacrifice more and more people in this war. please no humiliation and total defeat , not for russia and not for the west.  let’s pray for peace and for good solutions in this war, finally let’s pray also for us all , so that this conflict will not further escalate and get nuclear some day.

B.F.Finlayson

‘please no humiliation’ = please don’t use superior us weapons and intelligence on poor russian peasants lol.

‘good solutions in this war’???

the only solution is denazification/demilitarisation of ukraine, a new government, end to usa political/corporate influence and us-nato collaborators put on trial. there can be no peace anywhere under us hegemony, this conflict is far bigger than ukraine.

Darius

“this conflict is far bigger than ukraine.”, yes i know , but i wish it would be not completely solved now in this constellation. because there is too great risk of further escalation to even nuclear war. this is also a restriction for the russian government , which i appreciate as reasonable. minimal goal : holding of four new regions with the absolute majority voting for russia and some sort of strong international supported and sustainable guarantie, nato would not advance eastwards.

B.F.Finlayson

nato/usa guarantees aren’t worth the paperwork, the west’s pledges are worthless. if it’s nukes then so be it; but i doubt it if rus stops showing fear, goes toe to toe with the us hegemon and faces them down – now! otherwise millions will continue living in fear under yankee yolk, and nato eastward expansion will continue. enough is enough, man up ptn ffs!

B.F.Finlayson

a-s empire is a myth / nato only wins rigged conflicts / 1960s maps showed us military bases on mars (all for neocons and the mic).

such guarantees were given in the 90s about eastward expansion, also the bdpst memo, also mnsk etc? backing down now would be the biggest ever humiliation for rus!!

B.F.Finlayson

‘not for an easy walk to get rid off of nato…’

it would have been if the smo hadn’t stalled to allow more nato weapons and men to arrive. rus should have taken odessa in 3 months had smo been prepared properly; but after 8 years watching build up of ukr forces (while 14,000 died in the nazi attacks on donbass) rf still got it wrong. p’s a globalist, so perhaps predictable with hindsight.

B.F.Finlayson

it’s only a hard fight if russia believes in the usa-nato myth. iran doesn’t. nk doesn’t. and thankfully africa is also waking up to the big bluff. rus is a superpower with the best weapons ffs (hypersonic etc), whereas even us s.o.t.a. weaponry is still at least 10 years behind (and the junk it’s sending ukraine is from the 1970s for the most part). there should have been be no contest.
