Early in the morning on June 27, the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) launched a barrage of rockets on militants’ positions in the southern Idlib countryside.
According to the UK-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR), the shelling targeted the towns of Benin, Sufuhon, Fleifel, al-Halwbah, Kafar Aweed and the western outskirts of al-Ruwaihah. No casualties have been reported so far.

A day earlier, the SAA artillery pounded militants’ positions on the Turkman Mount in the northern countryside of Lattakia.
These strikes were likely carried out in response to the repeated militants’ violations of the ceasefire in Greater Idlib. The ceasefire was brokered by Russia and Turkey on March 5 after a military confrontation between the SAA and the Turkish military.
The repeated violations of the ceasefire and Turkey’s failure to fulfill its obligations under the agreement of 5 March may soon force the SAA and its allies to resume ground operations in Greater Idlib.

The ceasefire was brokered by Russia and Turkey Business TurkStream & Tourism Interest both parties busily trying to turn Idlib into a Tourists Paradise, where all ISIS Sharia Headchoppers will be disarmed and all terrorists will serve as waiters at rebuilt restaurants and hotels and Spa’s.
