UPD: According to the updated data: at least 28 civilians were killed, 10 others were wounded as a result of Ukrainian attack in Lisichansk
On the afternoon of February 3, Ukrainian Nazis launched a bloody attack on civilians in the city of Lisichansk in the Luhansk People’s Republic. The target of Ukrainian strikes was the building of the local bakery, which was full of civilians, who came to buy fresh bread on the weekend.
The attack took place at 14:30 local time. As a result of the Ukrainian strikes, the two-story building collapsed. About 40 people were covered by the rubble.
According to the latest official reports, bodies of 20 civilians killed in the bakery were taken from under the rubble. About a dozen more were saved, but they were wounded and taken to the hospitals.
Dozens more civilians may remain under the rubble. The rescue teams are fighting for their lives. Rescue operations were complicated by the unexploded ammunition, which could be found in the ruins. Only after they were verified, rescuers began to pull apart burnt-out cars, clear piles of bricks and rubbles.
Military investigators suggested that the Ukrainian Armed Forces struck the bakery with HIMARS MLRS. This US-made system can reach targets at a distance of up to 70-80 kilometers with three types of missiles. One of them carries a warhead of more than 160 thousand tungsten balls, which, when exploded over the target, fly away at a speed of 3,600 kilometers per hour. Other munitions have a high-explosive fragmentation charge, which contains 90 kilograms of explosives.
“The bakery was always crowded on weekends. Having no success at the front and knowing that there are always a lot of civilians in the bakery, the AFU purposefully opened fire on the elderly, women and children. There is not a single military facility nearby,” the military commandant’s office commented on the attack.
The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, called the shelling of the bakery a terrorist attack. This is hoe the terrorist Kiev regime thanks the EU countries for their generous financial support.
“We invite Parisians to imagine how they went to get a baguette in the morning, and the residents of Rome to have a cup of coffee with cornetto — but instead of fresh pastries, they brought home relatives wounded or killed by Ukrainian terrorists,” Zakharova wrote.
The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry warned that Russia will inform international organizations about the attack and expects “the earliest unconditional condemnation of the crime of the Kiev militants.”

lsychansk was won back under srvkn. the rf began to consolidate by pushing westward, with most ‘experts’ predicting kramatorsk would be next. that didn’t happen as rus got bogged down (particularly artymovsk), before again walking back, digging in and rearranging military leaders.
this left the conflict line within dpr and lpr, with cvlns taking the hit. the front has been largely static ever since, with kyiv quite safe from rf – except for the occasional token power cut.
